Jungle cat (Felis Chaus) is one of the six species of cats found in our country.
At one time they could be seen in the forests of almost all the villages in our country but now their number has decreased a lot. We have destroyed all the small and big jungles in the village responsible for the decline, in the food crisis, in the lack of shelter, we beat the two who moved to one locality again!
We ourselves are unknowingly doing a lot of damage, considering the environment, the wild cat plays a big role in maintaining the balance of the environment. Frogs, grasshoppers, rats are the main food of wild cats, they cause great damage to crops, cats eat all these insects and benefit the farmer. A study has found that all kinds of agricultural products grow well in areas where there is an abundance of wildlife, including wild cats.
Now the point is that the wild cat eats the poultry of the farmer and harms the farmer. Considering the harm, there is no animal in the world which has no harm but more benefit than harm. Cats do not always eat farmer's poultry, they depend on frogs and rodents for 95% of their food. Although the farmer's ducks seem to cause a loss of 10 rupees by eating chickens, but invisible to the naked eye, it benefits 100 rupees.
So let's protect ourselves and other wildlife, including wild cats, and make others aware of this
