I don't know about you guys but the Full Harvest moon in the night sky the last couple days my dog has been acting odd.
This isn't something I can say I normally notice but the last couple days its been really obvious. He's been extra rowdy in the house, and on walks he been biting the leash more often and barking at other dogs even across the street which is a bit unusual even for him.
Funny thing is my partners sister called yesterday and said one of her kids was acting the same way and thought it could be because of the full moon. I mean not that the kid was barking at dogs or anything, but being unusual rambunctious and mischievous.
My Doggo Bjorn
Introducing my big doggo, Bjorn, he's just recently turned 1 years old. He's a great dane with some pretty unusual markings for a dane. But I guess not that uncommon as there was another pup in his litter with almost the same markings.
His mother is a fawn and father is a harlequin so he gets the merle marking, like a brindle merle I guess. He gets ots of compliments, a couple a day, it actually is a bit tiring.
My favourite moments would be when I'm walking him through the park, maybe down at the beach and I hear someone yell out "Scooby Doo", I always wave and smile. He is our big scoob!
The Harvest Moon
This full moon is the harvest moon, and is officially tonight here in Canada, October 1, 2020. The name havest moon is given to the full moon that occurs closest to the autum equinox. Usually it's the full moon in September but this year it was too early to be called a harvest moon so here we have it on Oct 1st.
For several evenings, the moonrise comes soon after sunset. This results in an abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening, which was a traditional aide to farmers and crews harvesting their summer-grown crops. Hence, it’s called the “Harvest” Moon!
Alright peeps, that's for now, glad I was able to introduce my doggo to Blurt,
ciao for now,
Great meeting Doggo Bjorn :)
