This happened a long time ago in a magical land covered with snow and ice. Various animals lived there, including the fox Lisa and the rabbit Reb. Each of them had housing to suit their taste. Lisa was a glamorous lady and she built herself a cottage out of ice blocks. How it sparkled and shimmered under the rays of the sun! How beautifully the moon reflected in it! The rabbit was a simple, practical guy. He built himself a cozy wooden cottage with a fireplace and enjoyed winter evenings in the warmth.

But global warming is called global because even a magical country is susceptible to its influence. Oh, it was a real universal sweat, when the ice and snow began to melt together. All the animals were of course very scared. But summer came with warmth, flowers and birdsong, and in the end everyone really liked it. But what the animals didn’t know was that now in the magical land, just like in any other season, the seasons would change. Summer has passed, autumn has pleased everyone with its bright colors and winter has returned again.

And here the practicality of the rabbit received its bonus. His wooden cottage, although it suffered a little damage during the great melting of snow and ice, still survived. Over the summer and fall, the Reb repaired everything that was needed and now again enjoyed life in the warmth. But the fox Lisa got into trouble...

During the time it was warm, the fox did not take care of a new home for itself and was now desperately freezing. And then one evening she knocked on the door of the Reb’s cottage. The naive rabbit let the fox in, who was friendly from the cold, gave her a warm blanket and offered her a cup of hot cocoa. Oh, if only he knew that this evening he would be shaking from the cold in front of the door of his own cottage! The sly fox asked him to add wood to the fireplace and when he went out to get wood, she simply locked the door from the inside.

In search of consolation and justice, the poor rabbit decided to turn to the inhabitants of a magical land for help. It would seem that restoring justice would not be difficult. But then it turned out that the sly fox took care of everything. Somewhere through flattery, somewhere through blackmail and threats, but she forced all the animals not to interfere. She even lied that she was the one who built the wooden cottage and simply rented it out to the hare. It was so difficult to understand all this that the animals, with all their sympathy for the hare, chose to stay away from this dispute.

The unfortunate rabbit was completely crushed by this situation. And the fox’s cunning and the position of other animals all brought complete despair into his heart. It is unknown how all this would have ended if the rabbit had not met the rooster. The rooster was unaware of the situation as he was visiting his chickens in the south. He had divorced their mother hen and was now a visiting father. The rooster immediately realized that something was wrong in the magical land. The animals became withdrawn and shyly hid their eyes.

Finally the rooster got tired of it all. Having caught a female raccoon who was running to the market for shopping, he strictly ordered her to tell him what happened.
What a disgrace!
The rooster couldn't believe what he was hearing!

He immediately went in search of the rabbit and found the poor fellow under a bush, where he was dying of cold and heartache. This is where the rooster went crazy! He quickly sharpened the spurs on his feet and went to the fox. She tried to tell something about the problems in the rooster’s family, but he said that he didn’t care about her blackmail and in general he was already divorced and honestly pays alimony to his ex-wife and chickens. With a threatening snap of his spurs, he drove the shameless blackmailer out of the cottage.

Then the rooster went after the rabbit, took him by the paw and brought him to the cottage. The rooster spent a long time treating the rabbit, who had caught a serious cold, and took care of it. As a result, the rabbit invited the rooster to stay in his cottage and they lived for a long time. The rooster married another hen, the rabbit also found a bride, but the cottage was spacious enough to accommodate the now two happy families.
