Tales about animals: Friendship is the main treasure

A long time ago, in a beautiful plain hidden between high mountains, two friends lived. It was a very strange friendship... because it was a little fox and a snail. But life is an unpredictable thing, and sometimes those who seem completely unsuitable for each other become the most faithful and devoted friends. The little fox and the snail were having a great time together. They played, basked in the sun and smelled fragrant flowers.

But one day a beautiful bird flew into the valley. Her singing made the flowers bloom even more beautiful, and the sun shone even brighter. The friends had never heard such beautiful singing or seen such beautiful birds. All day long they followed the bird. Finally the little fox asked: Beautiful bird, tell me, where did you learn to sing so beautifully?

There is a temple at the foot of the mountain. - answered the bird. Every day I listened to thousands of tiny bells ringing in the wind, which marked the path to the temple so that everyone could find their way even in the middle of the night. By repeating the sounds of these bells, I learned to sing.

And then an idea struck the friends! They wanted to sing as this beautiful bird did. This desire was so great that they could hardly resist setting off immediately.

Finally morning came. The little fox and the snail took one last look at their beautiful meadow, where they had spent so many happy hours, and set off on their way.

It was a difficult journey through the mountains. First they had to climb to the very top. The higher they climbed, the colder it became. The little fox did not suffer too much from the cold, because he had a warm fur coat. But it was very difficult for the snail. Fortunately, the little fox was a good friend and invited the snail to hide in his fur.

Finally they crossed the mountain peak and saw a beautiful temple below. But the poor little fox rubbed his paws so hard on the stones that he could hardly walk. Then it's the snail's turn to be a good friend. The snail began to crawl along the fox’s paws and cover them with its healing mucus. Soon the friends were able to continue on their way.

But what friendship is complete without a funny prank? Moreover, the closer the goal became, the better the mood of the friends was.
Let's have a competition! - suggested the snail. Who will reach the temple faster!

The little fox didn't mind having fun and started running. He didn't know that the cunning snail had clung to his tail.

The little fox ran to the gates of the temple and, contented, began to look around. At this time, the snail quietly slid off his tail and pretended to leave the temple.
Oh, what a long time! I've already seen everything here!

Of course, the little fox understood this trick, but did not get angry, but laughed together with the snail.

You probably want to know if they learned to sing? No. The bird could sing because it was a bird, and not because of the bells. But the little fox and the snail were not upset at all, because this adventure once again showed that they have the most important treasure - strong friendship.
