Time confidently counts down the days until the new year. My mind understands that a miracle will not happen and nothing will change in a significant way. But my inner child still believes in miracles.
Like I said, finishing all the projects has given me more time to take care of my animals. Since the weather is great today, I cleaned the enclosures of my birds a little and moved some of them to more comfortable conditions. Unfortunately, now I am forced to house many birds together. Snow and frost are always ready to play a cruel joke and block the entrance to the enclosure, so I only use those that I can open anyway. This somewhat limits my options for bird dispersal.
Those who are not at all worried about all these problems are my crows. Despite the fact that they cannot fly, they are excellent at jumping through trees and can always get out of any icy ambush. In addition, they are sure that in the worst case scenario, I will simply throw food at them.
But for ducks it’s much more complicated. They need more water, which freezes in winter. Therefore, I always need access to their enclosure to bring warm water for them.
While I was solving all these problems, my dogs were walking around the yard. Those promenades of theirs looked terribly funny! They are absolutely sure that I would never be able to cope without their control!
