Ants including insect species that always live in colonies. They also work in groups, from building nests to hunting prey. With their strong jaws, the ants are able to eat large meals in a relatively short period of time.

Yesterday I saw a group of ants swarming around the cocoon. I'm guessing it's a cocoon that will metamorphose into a butterfly. I could clearly see how the ants tore the cocoon head capsule with their jaws.

Beside them, a spider calmly watched the massacre or maybe it was very jealous of the ants who were partying.

Oh, poor cocoon. It was not yet time for it to metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly, it had fallen prey to the hungry ants.
