Ngung..ngung...ngung, it was buzzing so loudly. At first, I was hesitant to approach it because I had a bad experience with it when I was little. Yes, my thumb was stung once by it when I was little, and hurt a lot.

Xylocopa latipes (Drury, 1773), is the pandan green-eyed carpenter bee, the Acehnese call it Hueng. It is one of the species in the genus Xylopa belonging to the Apidae family. Xylopa latipes is larger than its close relative, Xylocopa virginica. While Xylocopa virginia likes Calotropis gigantea flower nectar, Xilopa latipes prefers Donax canniformis flower nectar.
