For some reason recently I had a hard time finding these unique insects in the bush. I don't know where they are hiding, even though the rainy season has passed.

This afternoon, I walked in the hills of Blang Poroh for hunting photography. I pushed through the undergrowth to find them, but in vain because I didn't see them.

This is a rare thing because usually in the bushes far from human settlements, I often see strange and unique insects.

I only saw a cone-headed grasshopper perched on a dry branch. I don't want to go home empty-handed. So, I took the pictures while it wasn't away.

The cone-headed grasshopper is a grasshopper in the genus Acrida belonging to the family Acrididae. Most of them are often seen in rice fields.
