Mating season has arrived, I can see a pair of ladybirds enjoying their mating. A group of aphids also witnessed them. Sometimes the couple does this while walking among tree branches, or sneaking behind leaves. It's up to the female, the male will follow her wherever she goes. They can copulate with a duration of two to three hours. Really strong! It defeats the duration of human sexual intercourse.

Musim kawin telah tiba, terlihat olehku sepasang kumbang koksi sedang menikmati kawin mereka. Sekelompok kutu daun pun ikut menjadi saksi mereka kawin. Terkadang pasangan itu melakukannya sambil berjalan di antara dahan pohon, atau menyelinap di balik daun. Terserah bagi betina, pejantan akan mengikuti kemanapun betina pergi. Mereka dapat berkopulasi dengan durasi waktu dua hingga tiga jam. Benar-benar kuat! Itu mengalahkan durasi bersenggama yang dilakukan manusia.
Ladybirds are the species of beetles that undergo a radical metamorphosis phase. After the mating process, the female can store the male's sperm for two to three months, then the female will lay eggs and store them on the leaves. The eggs will develop into larvae before entering the pupal stage. Only then from the pupal phase will metamorphose into a young ladybird.
Kumbang koksi merupakan spesies kumbang yang mengalami fase metamorfosa radikal. Setelah proses kawin, betina dapat menyimpan sperma pejantan selama dua hingga tiga bulan, baru kemudian betina akan bertelur dan menyimpannya di atas dedaunan. Telur-telur itu akan berkembang menjadi larva sebelum memasuki tahap menjadi kepompong. Baru kemudian dari fase kepompong akan bermetamorfosa menjadi seekor kumbang koksi muda.
