I found this robber flies in a separate place on the hillside this afternoon. Robber fly is best known as a predatory insect that is capable of catching prey while flying but they and as flexible hunters that usually catch prey smaller than their body size. It belongs to the family Asilidae that is included as the notoriously aggressive predatory habit. While searching for other subjects, I noticed these flies perching on the dried twig and wild grass which instantly invited me to take a few shots. So, I managed to focus as closely as possible while getting rid of the breeze and after some time trying, I was finally able to capture some pictures of this predatory insect when they were calm. I
They have stout, spinny legs with two large compound eyes and deserve to be brought up to the surface. This robber fly has a big size body, this would allow me to take them with a DSLR. All I needed to do was to manage to get a couple of shots from distance range before it's really disappeared from my sight.
