Eso dijo el jefe cuando nos reunimos en horas de la mañana en la oficina ubicada en el piso 25 del edificio más alto de la ciudad.
“Vamos a desarrollar el proyecto por el que tanto hemos trabajado, la construcción del Teatro Maravillas, un aporte para la actividad cultural, para el disfrute y distracción de la población. Tenemos un año para hacerlo realidad, así que manos a la obra”.
Han pasado seis meses y la obra no se ha iniciado. Inconvenientes financieros y legales han producido el retraso, que ha sido un dolor de cabeza para todo el equipo.
Hoy hay una nueva reunión, cambios de última hora. El jefe nos informa que hay que hacer algunos ajustes en el presupuesto y por lo tanto algunos cambios en el equipo. La directiva de la empresa ha considerado que, ya que no es necesario planificar las áreas verdes ni los locales comerciales, las personas responsables de estas áreas lamentablemente….
Mientras el jefe hablaba los miembros del equipo nos mirábamos las caras, la angustia se refleja en nuestros rostros.
Salí de la oficina con mis pertenencias en una caja, otros tres compañeros hicieron lo mismo. Tomamos el pasillo hacia el ascensor y decidimos ir al bar de la esquina a ahogar nuestras penas en el alcohol.
—Amigos quiero decirles algo. Seguimos siendo el equipo, así que si les parece podemos trabajar juntos, sabemos cómo hacerlo.
Los cuatro levantamos las manos con nuestros vasos de cerveza, brindando por ello.

Congratulations team, we triumphed!
So said the boss when we met in the morning hours in the office located on the 25th floor of the tallest building in the city.
"We are going to develop the project for which we have worked so hard, the construction of the Teatro Maravillas, a contribution to cultural activity, for the enjoyment and distraction of the population. We have a year to make it a reality, so let's get to work."
Six months have passed and the work has not begun. Financial and legal inconveniences have caused the delay, which has been a headache for the whole team.
Today there is a new meeting, last minute changes. The boss informs us that some adjustments have to be made to the budget and therefore some changes in the team. The management of the company has considered that, since it is not necessary to plan the green areas or the commercial premises, the people responsible for these areas will unfortunately .....
As the boss spoke the team members looked at each other's faces, anguish reflected on our faces.
I left the office with my belongings in a box, three other colleagues did the same. We took the hallway to the elevator and decided to go to the corner bar to drown our sorrows in alcohol.
-I want to tell you guys something. We are still the team, so if you feel like it we can work together, we know how to do it.
The four of us raised our hands with our beer glasses, toasting to that.
