Quise hacer de esta manera la representación inspirada en la poesía de Arturo Uslar Pietri "David". El siguiente escrito no es más que una guía para orientar al actor o bailarín a recrear las situaciones, no es un escrito para recitar, solo para personificar el texto, representado de esta manera con un David que vive en la calle, desprotegido y abandonado, como muchas de las personas que viven esta situación de calle todos los días, y cómo esta débil situación los ata a una realidad, donde la maldad se hace presente en cada burla, el hambre es su peor enemigo y conociendo cada día el desprecio de la sociedad. ¿Somos culpables de la crisis humanitaria que vivimos actualmente? ¿En qué momento dejamos de creer en la humanidad y burlarnos como si eso no nos afectara?

Este performance es representado por un bailarín, su vestuario es sucio, desteñido, deshilachado, su coreografía es guiada por las acciones del siguiente escrito:

Tendido en el piso se encuentra David,

La basura su comida
No sabe lo que el mañana le espera
Si vivirá o morirá
La muerte lo acecha una y otra vez, sus compañeros se emborrachan noches tras noche.

Al amanecer despierta
Se encandila con la luz del Sol
Se baña en la fuente
Siente como el agua fría recorre su piel
Lo baña, lo limpia, lo despierta una vez más
Sonríe, suspira, de nuevo a la rutina
Camina sin buscar
Lo encuentran sin titubear
Se burlan, lo tumban, patadas sin parar.
Se levanta, camina.

David se ve en la mirada de aquel niño, se levanta y vence la desesperanza
Con fuerza camina, limpia su cara
Ayuda a una anciana a cruzar el semáforo
Busca su carreta y ayuda al frutero
Siembra con sus manos una mata de mango

Tiene dos manos
Dos pies
Dos ojos
Dos orejas
“Gracias vida, Vencí a Goliath “
Se siente vivo
Ve la vida a través de los ojos de aquel niño
Que lo levantó
Le dio esperanza
Al anochecer llega de nuevo al cartón sucio lleno de grasa
Y recuerda que mañana es otra oportunidad
