It was a cloudy morning and all I could desire was for the sun to take over and pour down on me, those early morning vitamins but that wasn't the case. I watched the rain pour down on me heavily, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The unexpected had happened. The mighty tree has fallen and the birds, forced to seek for a new home.

The tears were resistant to drop down even though the heart was pierced. What can I do? Where will I start ?. I went out to prevent myself from suffocating. The cries of my younger ones were choking. The presence of the so-called uncle's who never showed up when he was alive wants to turn me into a demon. Catching some fresh air was the only thing that can keep me sane.

"My son, I took you to this place to show you things you need to know about life. Look at the River, despite the numbers of fishermen making a living from here and the frequency with which they visit here, the fishes have never gone distinct, do you know why? It is because God who has promised to provide all that we need will never go down on his promise, but have you looked around, how dirty and unkempt this place is? They make their living from it but care not about its sustainability. People will always want to take from you and won't want to add value to your life, so Zero your expectations on people.
Look up, you will see the mountains. From our present location it appears to be far and unattainable but take a swim to the other side of the river and you will discover that it is not as far as you see now. This is life, things might seem difficult for you but with a single step, the road becomes clearer.
We sit on a rock but we feel no pain. If we stay longer, we will certainly feel pain. This is life, challenges may not be discomforting at first but with time, the burden becomes heavier. Do not be discouraged by it. Keep up the faith, there will certainly be light at the end of the tunnel. I asked you to bring me here so that I can enjoy the view of nature for the last time before this cancer takes me down. Never allow anything to take away your happiness"
.

These were the last memories I could remember of him and it was the right memory I needed at this point in time. Days turn into months and months into years. I saw myself growing up while taking the role of a father and a husband.
Today, I looked back and rejoice on the frequency with which I held my head up amidst the storms of life. I am glad that my siblings have lived and obtained all that they have desired through me.
