The oceans hide many surprises in their depths. One of these can be called Scorpena Ambona - one of the most beautiful fish on the planet.
This fish is far from uncommon, but its expressive appearance cannot but attract attention.
Scorpion Ambon can be easily identified by the so-called "eyebrows" - characteristic growths over the eyes. The fish can change color, has wool and even sheds periodically. The whole body of the Scorpion is covered with poisonous thorns, which help the fish to defend itself in the event of an attack. The thorns enlarge when danger appears. By the way, their poison is so strong that it can kill a person in a few moments.
Scorpena Ambona is a hidden predator. She, like a partisan, waits for the victim at the bottom of the sea. Such hunting is facilitated by its ability to change color, so that it can easily blend in with the surrounding ocean landscape. She hunts like this: while the victim swims in front of the Scorpion, the fish makes a sharp dash forward and pulls in its prey. Scorpions of Ambon live, as a rule, one by one.
