I don't think these upvote services are social for the community!
What would you say if I delegated all my power?

Here is my opinion on that matter double-u. We are all here for the money, take-out the benefits and this site will not exist, basically ignored.
It is good for many people to build their accounts using such services rather than to rely on the mercy of the few big stake holders. So what if an individual is hated by these supposed big stake holders?, he will just be ignored much less not be voted on with his replies and posts.
If many people could build their accounts bigger it will be good for the blurt economy.
But some users delegate to upvote services and not being social. What if they continue to be social. So the problem is delegating to those services and not use Blurt community as intended.
Also there is a cancel culture too in this community, some people are fake and doesn't really care about someone evidenced by not being understanding.

Heute mal ein Frage an unsere Cosmos Profis:

Jakob @jacobgadikian meinte in seinem letzten twitter post:
We need more validators in cosmos, and contributions from validators...

Was ist/macht ein validator auf Cosmos?

@dotwin1981, @nerdtopiade
schon mal danke!

Das was Nerdie sagt. :)

I noticed that a lot of users delegate their blurt power to the upvote-servive tomoyan.
What is to be thought of it then?
From the principle I find this not very nice. You delegate your blurt power to get votes yourself, but you have no or hardly any blurt power to vote for other users.
Or do I see this wrong?

Lol increase the delegation in case 🤣

But notification are annoying actually. Maybe a week is better as month is long

It is not that the amount annoys me but the daily notification. Getting daily a small amount of blurt was nice when we did not have the 25% Liquid Blurt .

There can be various reasons why a person might delegate the blurt power :

  1. If the person is inactive on blurt and is unable to use his or her blurt power.
  2. like you said that people are delegating to receive votes just like we see on many other Blockchain like on steemit there is justyy , nutbox , upvu etc who run a service.

Conclusion : It is my personal opinion only and i would love to know others opinion.

For me i am not able to vote regularly from my blurt power , i have 17000+ and i use to vote using it but i am unable to stay consistent so for me i found it wasting more than using so i delegated it to tomoyan and upvu.

I also respect your point of view as well and the only thing i don't like about voting service is that it votes post based on power delegated.
Be it a good , bad , or plagiarism post.

thank you.

You don't have the time to vote each day but you have enough time to create a post each day? Oo

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

yes , because i not bound to write anything professional and few days i can just share what i did today or how my day went but for voting i can vote 10 post a day with 100% and that means reading ten post for which i don't have time. I have delegated my power recently ( the entire amount ) i have been Curating others for months though when i was free and was practicing work from home.
I do miss to write but that is very less likely.

Yes delegation is best.

It's just that giving rewards and votes depend on person running the service.

Anyone can run same service as the code is open source with some tweaks and different values

I don't think these upvote services are social for the community!
What would you say if I delegated all my power?

You are right. They must be some balance. Also, the blockchain active members can better reward those who consistently engage with others blurtians.

The problem really is delegating to those services and not being social @double-u

I think it’s ok to delegate 1/2… and keep half to be social and upvote others.

It can be totally OK or an ultimate sin for some people.

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

This is true.

Look … If people go out and buy 1 Million Blurt to delegate to @Upvu… and earn from 1 post per day.. I think it is awesome.

Certainly within their right. But then, they also shouldn't be surprised when most in the community don't upvote their posts either and would rather share their stake allocation on those here who support others with their stake.

I'm finding myself really surprised by how many I'm in the process of cutting off from my votes because of this. Several who overall are quality posters, witnesses and such. But I believe for optimal growth of Blurt one doesn't seek every chance at optimal immediate profit and takes the time to invest in their neighbors here.

Tools like Upvu are seeing many delegate huge chunks of their stake for that immediate profit. Leaving sometimes crumbs left for their support of others. So they should be fine with receiving crumbs in return, or nothing even.

I undelegated to upvu… and will focus on Upvoting all good original content on my own

Yes, only delegating and not interacting is non social.
But in any way they are supporting the blockchain by their power as it contributes.

It only is that the user may not have any interaction or content

If we see that as a way of votes when we delegate some power to tomoyan it becomes huge in total numbers so, we do get a nice upvote. Indirectly our power is used for people to get votes which is nice.

and for people who are not active here or want to take some break , for them these delegation services are nice.

Yes for inactive people it's great thing to Do.
It's like opening a fixed deposit with returns.
Only issue is rewards get reduced as percent share becomes low with time

Is there a tool on the blurt blockchain to upvote content made by authors that have not delegated their Blurtpower?

No. I think not.

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

I was wondering if it is possible to upvote witnesses on Blurt blockchain using the android mobile app Letsblurt?
Thank you
