Liebe Gäste,

hier folgt erst mal ein kurzer Einleitungstext, der jede Woche von mir neu verfasst wird. Weiter unten mache ich in roter Schrift kenntlich, ab welcher Stelle sich der Text jede Woche wiederholt.

Es ist sehr erfreulich, wie viele User jetzt schon bei unserer Initiative IDUVTS mitmachen.

Dieses Kürzel IDUVTS bedeutet: "I Don't Use Vote Trading Services".

Letzten Sonntag war ich allerdings während der Kneipe total überfordert und habe dann frustriert aufgegeben. Ständig die Profile von Gästen öffnen, um nachzusehen, ob das Kürzel dort steht. Da habe ich gemerkt, dass meine Idee, das Kürzel im Feld "Location" einzutragen, keine ausgereifte war.

Tausendmal besser ist es, wenn das Kürzel ganz oben im Feld "About" als erstes ganz vorne eingetragen wird. Das sieht dann so aus:

Der enorme Vorteil von dieser Platzierung ist, dass man im Kommentarbereich der Kneipe oder von jedem anderen Post auf den Namen eines Users klicken kann. Dann öffnet sich ein kleines Fenster. Darin ist unser Kürzel dann als erstes zu sehen.

Das sieht dann so aus:

Also braucht man nicht ständig die Profile von Usern öffnen.

Ich hoffe, ihr seid nicht genervt und entfernt unser Kürzel aus dem Feld "Location" und tragt es anstatt dessen oben im Feld "About" ein.

Inzwischen sind von mehreren engagierten und freundlichen Zeugen mehrere Tools entwickelt worden, die die Profile nach dem Kürzel durchsuchen und Listen zur Verfügung stellen können.

Fast alle Tools sind aber darauf angewiesen, dass die Schreibweise des Kürzels ganz einheitlich ist.

Benutzt also bitte einfach dieses Muster hier zum Kopieren und Einfügen: [ IDUVTS ] ~

Es wäre auch großartig, wenn ihr diese Initiative imitieren würdet mit eurer "following-Liste". Nur so haben wir eine Chance, dass wegen der VTS aus Blurt nicht das wird, was aus Steemit geworden ist.

@tekraze war so freundlich und hat den Vote-Schieberegler verbessert.

Man kann mit den Tastatur-Pfeiltasten einen Wert einstellen, und dieser Wert wird nun beim nächsten Vote im Schieberegler vorgeschlagen.

Oh, für mich ist das eine enorme Verbesserung und Erleichterung, dass ich nicht immer mit der Maus herumzittern muss, bis ich einen Wert wie z.B. 5% getroffen habe.

Die Kategorie 5) Wunschzettel lasse ich entfallen, denn ihr Zweck wird einfach bedauerlicherweise von vielen Gästen nicht verstanden.

Apropos "verstehen". Dazu möchte ich einmal eine ganz subjektive Wahrnehmung äußern.

Ich bin immer wieder negativ erstaunt, zu wie vielen Missverständnissen es hier auf Blurt und im Discord wegen der sprachlichen Voraussetzungen kommt.

Wenn mehrere User, deren Muttersprache nicht Englisch ist, sich zu einem ernsten Thema verständigen wollen, kommt oft eine Summe von Missverständnissen und Fehleinschätzungen zustande. Die Englisch-Muttersprachler tragen allerdings zum Teil auch dazu bei, weil einige sich keine Mühe geben, gutes Englisch zu schreiben.

In der persönlichen, physischen Begegnung kann ich mir eine Verständigung vorstellen. Da gibt es noch die Gesten, das Lächeln, das Staunen und den deutlicheren Eindruck vom Gesprächspartner.

In der Schriftform bin ich allerdings kurz vor dem Aufgeben. Viel zu oft wird eine Äußerung, die konstruktiv und gut gemeint war, als Angriff empfunden oder verstanden. Da vermeidet man doch lieber diese mehrsprachliche Kommunikation.

Die letzten beiden Sonntage habe ich bemerkt, dass ich mit einer fast fünfjährigen Tradition brechen muss. Ich habe bisher fast fünf Jahre lang jede Woche nahezu jeden Kommentar in der Kneipe gevotet. Das werde ich ab heute beenden. Es kommen immer mehr User. Daher funktioniert das nicht mehr. Für die Quiz-Antworten vergebe ich ja neun 100%-Votes, und die sollen ja auch noch mit möglichst viel Voting-Power erfolgen. Also, heute ist in der Kneipe eine kleine Zeitenwende angesagt.

Gäste, die unter meinem Hauptpost kommentieren und nicht unter den entsprechenden Kategorien, werden von anderen Gästen nicht bemerkt. Das ist auch für den Kommentar-Schreiber nicht schön. Ich werde keine Kommentare mehr voten, die nicht unter den Kategorien stehen.

Ich mache das auch deswegen, da ich vermute, dass die Gäste, die unter meinem Hauptpost kommentieren, nicht einmal meinen Einleitungs-Text gelesen haben.

Ohne die folgende, kleine Bekundung werde ich auch die entsprechenden Gäste nicht mehr voten:
Bitte seid so nett und schreibt zu allen euren Kommentaren das Kürzel "iduvts" (I don't use vote trading services), wenn es für euch zutrifft. Dann muss ich keine Liste durchsuchen. Gemeint sind alle vote trading services, die es gibt.

Selbstverständlich weiß ich von ungefähr 15 Stammgästen aus dem Gedächtnis, dass sie keine VTS benutzen. Euch möchte ich bitten, das Kürzel trotzdem ständig einzufügen, damit neu hinzu kommende Gäste dies sehen und sich alleine deswegen wahrscheinlich schon dafür interessieren werden, auch wenn sie meinen Einleitungs-Text nicht gelesen haben.

Ich kann mir bei so vielen Kommentaren auch nicht merken, ob ein relativ neuer Gast das Kürzel zwar in seinem Begrüßungskommentar verwendet hat, wenn ich weitere Kommentare von ihm in anderen Kategorien sehe. Oder wenn ich andere Kommentare vor dem Begrüßungskommentar sehe, weiß ich auch nicht Bescheid.

Falls sich viele Kommentare ansammeln, geht leicht die Übersicht verloren. Auch hatten einige Gäste schon Probleme, die Seite laden zu können. Daher gibt es unter meinem Post verschiedene Kategorien.

Damit ihr schnell zu den Kategorien gelangt, füge ich hier die Links ein:

Ich empfehle euch, mit der rechten Maustaste auf den ersten Link zu klicken und diese Kategorie in einem neuen Tab zu öffnen. Das gleiche dann noch mal mit den weiteren Links. Nun habt ihr mehrere Tabs offen. Meinen Einleitungstext, die Kategorie Unterhaltung und die weiteren Kategorien. So könnt ihr ganz schnell zwischen den Kategorien wechseln.

Außerdem empfehle ich euch sehr, jeweils in der geöffneten Kategorie nach "Age" zu sortieren. So seht ihr nach jedem Refresh (F5) die neuen Kommentare immer ganz oben und müsst nicht erst durch etliche Kommentare scrollen. Zum Glück behält das Frontend die Einstellung "Age" auch nach einem Refresh bei.

Regeln zu unserem Quiz:

Zu gewinnen gibt es neun 100%-Votes von mir. Das funktioniert so:

Ich werde die richtige Antwort auf meine erste Frage zweimal mit 100%, die richtige Antwort auf meine zweite Frage dreimal mit 100% und die richtige Antwort auf meine dritte Frage viermal mit 100% voten.

Ich werde jeweils um 21:00 Uhr, um 22:00 Uhr und um 23:00 Uhr eine Frage stellen.

Meine Fragen erscheinen jeweils einzeln in einem Kommentar von mir unter der Kategorie "Unterhaltung".

Wer zuerst die richtige Antwort unter meinen Frage-Kommentar schreibt, hat diese eine Frage gewonnen und erhält die entsprechenden 100%-Votes von mir.

Eine Person darf auch mehrmals gewinnen. Unerwünschte Accounts sind von der Teilnahme und den Gewinnen ausgeschlossen.

So lange die jeweilige Frage nur falsch beantwortet ist, reagiere ich erst mal gar nicht. Ist sie richtig beantwortet, schreibe ich einen Kommentar darunter und werde nach 5 Minuten voten.

It is very gratifying to see how many users are already participating in our IDUVTS initiative.

This IDUVTS abbreviation means: "I Don't Use Vote Trading Services".

Last Sunday, however, I was completely overwhelmed in the pub and then gave up in frustration. I constantly opened the profiles of the guests to see if the abbreviation was there. Then I realized that my idea of entering the abbreviation in the field " location" was not mature.

A thousand times better is to put the abbreviation at the top in the "About" field as the first thing. It will look like this:

The huge advantage of this placement is that you can click on a user's name in the comments section of the pub or from any other post. Then a small window opens. In it our abbreviation is to be seen then as the first.

So you don't have to open the profiles of the users all the time.

I hope you are not annoyed and remove our abbreviation from the "Location" field and enter it in the "About" field instead.

In the meantime, several tools have been developed by some engaged and friendly witnesses that can search the profiles for the abbreviation and provide lists.

However, almost all tools rely on the spelling of the abbreviation being fairly consistent.

So please just use this pattern here to copy and paste: [ IDUVTS ] ~

It would also be great if you could imitate this initiative with your "following list". This is the only way we have a chance that the VTS will not turn Blurt into what Steemit has become.

You can set a value with the arrow keys on the keyboard, and this value will now be suggested in the slider for the next vote.

Oh, for me this is a great improvement and relief that I don't always have to fiddle around with the mouse until I reach a value like 5%.

Apropos "understand". I would like to express here a quite subjective perception.

I am always negatively astonished how many misunderstandings arise here on Blurt and in Discord due to language requirements.

When several users whose native language is not English try to communicate on a serious topic, a sum of misunderstandings and misconceptions often occur. However, native English speakers contribute in part because some do not bother to write good English.

In face-to-face, physical encounters, I can imagine the communication. There are still the gestures, the smiles, the amazement, and the clearer impression of the interlocutor.

In writing, however, I am on the verge of giving up. Far too often, a statement that was constructive and well-intentioned is perceived or understood as an attack. One rather avoids this multilingual communication.

Today is the birthday of a beloved guest of our pub! Well, who do you think it is?

The last two Sundays I realized that I need to break an almost five year tradition. I have been voting almost every comment in the pub every week for almost five years so far. I'm going to stop that as of today. There are more and more users coming. Therefore, this is no longer working. For the quiz answers I give nine 100% votes, and they should be done with as much voting power as possible. So, today a small change of times is announced in the pub.

Guests who comment under my main post and not under the appropriate categories are not noticed by other guests. This is not nice for the comment writer either. I will no longer vote for comments that are not under the categories.

I do this also because I suspect that the guests who comment under my main post have not even read my opening text.

Of course, I know from memory of about 15 regulars that they do not use VTS. I would like to ask you to keep adding the abbreviation anyway, so that new guests will see this and probably be interested in it for that reason alone, even if they haven't read my opening text.

With so many comments, I also can't remember if a relatively new guest used the abbreviation in their welcome comment though, when I see other comments from them in other categories. Or if I see other comments before the welcome comment, I don't know either.

If a lot of comments accumulate, it's easy to lose track. Also some guests already had problems to load the page. Therefore there are different categories under my post.

So that you can quickly get to the categories, I add here the links:

I recommend you right click on the first link and open that category in a new tab. Then do the same again with the other links. Now you have all tabs open. My opening text, the category conversation and the other categories. So you can quickly switch between the categories.

I also recommend to sort the opened category by "Age". This way you will always see the new comments at the top after each refresh (F5) and don't have to scroll through several comments first. Fortunately, the frontend keeps the "Age" setting even after a refresh.

Rules for our quiz:

There are nine 100% votes from me to win. It works like this:

I will vote the correct answer to my first question twice with 100%, the correct answer to my second question three times with 100% and the correct answer to my third question four times with 100%.

I will ask one question each at 9pm, 10pm and 11pm. (Time Germany - Berlin)

My questions appear in each case individually in a comment of me under the category " conversation ".

Who first writes the correct answer under my question comment, has won this one question and receives the 100% votes from me.

If more than one guest answers correctly, the first one gets the votes.

If there are objectively more than one correct answer to my question, the answer I had in mind when I asked the question counts as correct. You have to trust me on that ;-)

One person may win more than once. Unwanted accounts are excluded from participating and winning.

As long as the question is answered incorrectly, I will not react at all. If it is answered correctly, I will write a comment below and will vote after 5 minutes.
