Self-growing basil

For basil, which is not cared for except for watering, the colour is quite dark and the smell is pungent.

The development of the basil, which grew spontaneously in a pot from the previous year and saw water during the watering of the vegetables in the front garden, is a bit surprising. I know it grows easily, but it seems strange to me that it grows spontaneously in a small pot without any planting and grows better than the previous year.

Maybe it would be better to leave the plants alone and not to interfere with them except for the water they need.

That’s a different basil to what we have but I have had that one before

I have seen some with larger leaves, but it is these and those with smaller leaves that I grow and use as a spice.
