We have to commend @splinterlands for being very transparent with the community about their plans, finances and regular discussions with the community. How many video game projects do you see where the CEO himself comes out to discuss with the community and answer the questions in a weekly basis? The ones that do are usually small projects. @splinterlands started out small, grew to become a large company and then shrunk to become a mid sized developer. We have seen the ups and downs as a community and they have all been documented over the years.
October 30th Town Square
This is a good roadmap to have at this time. There are many great plans for @splinterlands and what the project lack is developers to make them a reality. The resources were spread too thin over the last few years. We still don't have Land 1.5 which should have been released in Q2 or Q3 of 2023. We must prevent another similar situation in the future.
Focus on few core products is one method to achieve success. Another method is to hire many developers and artists to get more work done in less time. I consider both methods to be must haves, Releasing new features can be even more important than marketing after we gain a large player base. Some of the old players might return when the markets get better. Building a great new player experience and making it easy to purchase assets is a must have.

I was very close to reaching Diamond II League, but ultimately failed at it. I do think I may have a chance to make it to Diamond II within November before Rebellion Cards are released on December 5th. The Presale has slowed down despite being already profitable for the DAO. The only party that could be in trouble if Rebellion sales do not take off is Steem Monsters Corp. There will be automatic Pack Burning built in to make sure the circulating supply remains low in the case of sales being slow. Investors will have themselves covered by this mechanism creating a balance between supply and demand.

Rewards have been mostly contestant for me and I expect myself to keep up the current performance for many months to come. Eventually there will be a bull market and I may make some sales in 2025. I like playing @splinterlands and earning passive income. I might not sell any of my NFTs even at a market top (at least not in significant numbers).

DEC price has remained close to $0.001 for some time and that means the value of the Rental income is close to the highest it could be. I decided to Level Up one of my Cards (Djinn Chwala). I use Daria Dragonscale as my Dragon Summoner which comes with a +1 Melee Buff which can be very powerful when combined with Enrage:

I will mostly stay away form Rebellion and later sell some of my SPS to buy the next Edition of Cards. I may miss out on some of the Abilities and powerful Summoner/Monster combinations. But I have to make that decision due to my financial predicament. I will have to focus on more evergreen income streams that is decoupled from cryptocurrency market cycles.
We must think beyond established silos and try to come up with new approaches. When a person wear a superhero T-Shirt or a cap, they are doing marketing for a company after paying our of their own pocket for the privilege. @splinterlands is full of amazing designs and lore. It should be possible to expand merchandise and even prominently feature them on official website which is already visited by tens of thousands of visitors every single day.
We can use this to our own advantage and selling merchandise is less risky compared to producing animation or coming books. We have already seen good artwork from Steem Monsters Corp. and the community. A lore based comic run should be doable in house. They won't still be walking advertisements like clothes, caps. bags etc. I see a good potential for diversification that can bring in revenue that is less correlated to whatever BTC is doing at the moment.
