My Proposal for a Gaming community on Blurt

in blurtgaming •  4 years ago  (edited)

Gaming

Gaming
The action or practice of playing video games

One of the largest industries in the world. Raking in an impressive $152 Billion US Dollars in 2019 and already looking to surpass $160 Billion in the year 2020!

How will Blurters and Blurt alike benefit from curating gaming content?

Whether you are a professional player, a streamer or content creator, and or a casual gamer. Blurt Gaming will be able to offer you post rewards in the form of Blurt Power for original and quality content.

There is a also whole other side to gaming and that is viewing and supporting those who either play professionally or create content. Using the #blurtgaming tag will make it easy for those to quickly find gaming related content and support.

Being a content creator on a large streaming or video platform can be tough to gain recognition and funding due to the shear volume of uploaders. Allowing Blurt to fill the void by supporting those who are in need.

Blurt will likely see a return in investment in the long run due to the volume of gamers.

How can Blurt Gaming community benefit from this?

A tag for upvoting #blurtgaming will likely start a trend by rewarding those in need. Mentions will happen within streams and contents and word will quickly spread to bring in more deserved creators.

Rewarding users by increasing their Blurt Power.

How can one opt-in to be a part of this and be curated?

On approval a tag called #blurtgaming will be used.
Content will be monitored to ensure no plagiarism or copy and paste posts.
The margin for curation will depend on the quality of the content.

My proposal is to appeal to the Blurt Foundation and it's founders to delegate 1 million Blurt Power to BlurtGaming which will help reward the community for quality posts.

Curator Background

Whilst most will see me as solely an automotive enthuasiast, I myself am currently a casual gamer who plays an average of 15-20 hours a week. I was once a South African National Champion at Counter-Strike 1.6 and retired from professional and sponsored gaming in 2007 but not before winning every provincial tournament between the years of 2000-2007 and seeding between 2nd and 3rd place in all major national tournaments such as

  • Electronic Sports World Cup Qualifiers
  • World Cyber Games Qualifiers
  • Cyber Athletes Professional League Qualifiers
  • Kode 5 Qualifiers
  • RAGE Gaming Event

I also have experience in abuse control and content curation from my time spent working for Blockchain experts BuildTeam. Abuse handling for MinnowBooster and working closely with Steem blacklist builders. I first joined Steem in 2016 and have since continued to post original but mostly video based automotive content to my Blurt blog.
