¡Bienvenidos de vuelta a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un post increiblemente genial sobre uno de los mejores videojuegos que he jugado en mi vida, al punto de que ya estoy buscando una forma de jugar la versión de computadora de este juego con mi amorcito @dimeshana para convertirla en una cazadora de monstruos así como ella me volvió un sangre de dragón al introducirme al mundo de Skyrim.
Hoy vamos a hablar sobre Monster Hunter, particularmente la versión de PSP conocida como Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Sin más que agregar, comencemos:
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you an incredibly cool post about one of the best video games I've ever played in my life, to the point that I'm already looking for a way to play the computer version of this game with my sweetheart @dimeshana to turn her into a monster hunter just like she turned me into a dragonblood by introducing me to the world of Skyrim.
Today we are going to talk about Monster Hunter, particularly the PSP version known as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Without further ado, let's get started:
El primer juego que jugué en PSP | The first game I played on PSP
Monster Hunter es un videojuego desarrollado por Capcom en el año 2004; es un juego del género rol de acción en el cual tu objetivo principal es el de actuar como un exterminador de monstruor que acechan una región repleta de personas, eres como una especie de cazarrecompensas encargado de matar estos monstruos.
Lo interesante de todo esto, es que a medida que vas eliminando los monstruos, puedes obtener recursos de ellos como pieles, colmillos, garras, colas, etc y con dichos recursos puedes crearte nuevo equipamento (tanto armaduras como armas) para volverte más fuerte y poder cazar otros monstruos más épicos.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite es la versión de la franquicia que salió para la consola portable de PlayStation, es decir la PSP; yo lo jugué en un PSP que tenía en mi casa el cual compartía con mi hermano hasta que ambos pudimos tener nuestro PSP propio a raíz de un regalo que nos hizo uno de mis mejores amigos.
Fue sencillamente genial, porque el juego tenía unas mecánicas increíbles y al colocar de mejora con respecto a los juegos anteriores de la franquicia el poder jugar en multijugador a través de una red LAN, el juego se volvió una genialidad que pude llegar a disfrutar hasta jugando con mi herman y dos de mis mejores amigos.
Monster Hunter is a video game developed by Capcom in 2004; it is an action role-playing game in which your main objective is to act as an exterminator of monsters that stalk a region full of people, you are like a kind of bounty hunter in charge of killing these monsters.
The interesting thing about all this, is that as you eliminate the monsters, you can get resources from them as skins, fangs, claws, tails, etc. and with these resources you can create new equipment (both armor and weapons) to become stronger and to hunt other more epic monsters.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the version of the franchise that came out for the PlayStation portable console, ie the PSP; I played it on a PSP I had at home which I shared with my brother until we both could have our own PSP as a result of a gift that one of my best friends gave us.
It was simply great, because the game had some incredible mechanics and being able to play in multiplayer through a LAN network was an improvement over the previous games of the franchise, the game became a genius that I could even enjoy playing with my brother and two of my best friends.
Esas cacerías entre 4 personas eran increíblemente épicas por lo increíblemente difíciles que eran, pero dichas cacerías nos otorgaban mejores recompensas ya que estas mejoraban de forma proporcional a la dificultad de las batallas.
Those hunts between 4 people were incredibly epic because of how incredibly difficult they were, but these hunts gave us better rewards as these improved proportionally to the difficulty of the battles.
¡Mecánicas dementes! | Insane mechanics!
Recuerdo cuando comencé a jugar, al principio pensaba que era algo complicado moverse y algo incómodo, pero resultó que poco a poco me fui aprendiendo las mecánicas, el cómo esquivar, el cómo correr utilizando el gatillo derecho para acelerar, las mecánicas de esquivar los golpes donde te vuelves invulnerable como por 0.2 segundos nada más, cosa que te da tiempo solo de esquivar el golpe inmediato que tengas más cerca del monstruo en cuestión.
Luego me fui frustrando porque no lograba matar monstruos que no se veían nada difíciles, pues sus patrones de ataques eran muy predecibles pero al principio cuando no tienes una armadura poderosa, cualquier pequeño error de esquive puede llevarte a una muerte segura.
Y recuerdo que había un monstruo llamado Tigrex que era un dolor de cabeza (al principio) porque sus ataques eran muy rápidos para cualquier cazador (sobretodo para mí que yo era arquero), pueden ver dicho monstruo en el siguiente vídeo:
I remember when I started playing, at first I thought it was a bit complicated to move and somewhat uncomfortable, but it turned out that little by little I learned the mechanics, how to dodge, how to run using the right trigger to accelerate, the mechanics of dodging the hits where you become invulnerable for about 0.2 seconds nothing more, which gives you time only to dodge the immediate hit that you have closer to the monster in question.
Then I got frustrated because I couldn't manage to kill monsters that didn't look difficult at all, because their attack patterns were very predictable but at the beginning when you don't have a powerful armor, any small dodging mistake can lead you to a certain death.And I remember that there was a monster called Tigrex that was a headache (at the beginning) because its attacks were very fast for any hunter (especially for me as I was an archer), you can see this monster in the following video:

Este monstruo es un dragón que tiene una gran velocidad de aproximación cuando se trata de atacarte y buscar asesinarte; es bastante complicado porque su daño es terrible, pero es bastante fácil de vencer con armas rápidas (espada y escudo, espada larga, dagas duales, etc).
En el Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, es el monstruo del modo historia que separa tu trayectoria como novato a tu trayectoria como cazador experto, es decir, él es el «antes y después» de las cacerías, ya que, al jugar en solitario, luego de matarlo a él, te empiezan a tocar monstruos épicamente gigantes o cacerías en simultáneo de dos monstruos a los que hayas enfrentado antes.
El Tigrex es tan icónico dentro de la franquicia de Monster Hunter que inclusive ha hecho cameos en otros juegos de la misma empresa, como por ejemplo el siguiente:

Entonces podemos ver que realmente existe un mundo completo que está detrás de este épico juego, además de ello, siempre tenemos una nueva manera de volver a jugar y de tener una nueva experiencia de juego, además de que siempre nos surgen retos nuevos para cazar monstruos épicos.
Then we can see that there really is a whole world behind this epic game, besides that, we always have a new way to replay and have a new gaming experience, plus we always get new challenges to hunt epic monsters.
Tenemos una cantidad bastante amplia de armas para los gustos de cada persona que van desde una espada gigante, hasta una ballesta ligera, entonces puedes ir experimentando con el arma que más te guste e inclusive cambiar de armamento a medida que avanzas en el juego y así te vas a justando a lo que más disfrutes.
Eso sí, hay ciertos tipos de arma que son mejores para ciertos tipos de monstruos pero si eres el tipo de gamer orgulloso que soy yo, sabrás que si un monstruo es más difícil con tu arma, más la vas a usar para cazarlo.
We have a wide variety of weapons to suit everyone's tastes, ranging from a giant sword to a light crossbow, so you can experiment with the weapon you like the most and even change weapons as you progress through the game, so you'll be able to adjust to what you enjoy the most.
Of course, there are certain types of weapons that are better for certain types of monsters, but if you are the kind of proud gamer that I am, you will know that if a monster is more difficult with your weapon, the more you will use it to hunt it.
¡Monstruos estúpidamente gigantes! | Stupidly giant monsters!
Esta es una de las cosas más geniales que tiene el juego, porque existen monstruos que tienen un tamaño mediano mientras vas avanzando y vas creando mejores armaduras y mejores armas para poder enfrentarte a retos más difíciles, pero llega un punto en el que el tamaño de los monstruos es tan colosal que se vuelve absurdo, inclusive es tan idiota que ya no puedes atacarlos con tus armas normales, sino que ahora necesitas de armas especiales (cañones, taladros gigantes, etc) que tienes en la base especial hecha para pelear contra ellos para poder vencerlos.
Literalmente te enfrentas a monstruos que te hacen ver del tamaño de una pequeña hormiga en comparación con sus colosales tamaños y si no me creen, vean este vídeo donde muestra en segundo monstruo más grande de todo el juego (sí, el segundo, existe algo más gigante que eso):
This is one of the coolest things that the game has, because there are monsters that have a medium size as you advance and you create better armor and better weapons to face more difficult challenges, but there comes a point where the size of the monsters is so colossal that it becomes absurd, even so idiotic that you can no longer attack them with your normal weapons, but now you need special weapons (cannons, giant drills, etc) that you have in the special base made to fight them to defeat them.
You literally face monsters that make you look the size of a small ant compared to their colossal sizes and if you don't believe me, watch this video where it shows the second biggest monster in the whole game (yes, the second, there is something more gigantic than that):

¡GAAAAATOOOOOOS! | CAAAAAAAAATS!
Los gatos son una parte demasiado divertida de este juego, podemos conseguirlos de aliados (Felyne Comrade, tercera imagen, centrada) o conseguirlos como enemigos (Felyne, Melynx, primeras imágenes, izquierda y derecha).
Los Felyne Comrad son gatos que te acompañan en las expediciones, puedes colocarles armaduras y armas como tú y pueden hacer daño, colocar trampas, curarte, quitarte envenenamientos y demás cosas que les puedes enseñar a lo largo de tu experiencia de juego, son demasiado épicos, inclusive tienen personalidades particulares, algunos son cobardes y no se enfrentan a los monstruos gigantes pero hay unos que son tan valientes que empiezan a atacar antes que tú y todo.
Los Felyne y Melynx, es decir, los gatos enemigos, son terriblemente molestos porque aunque son bastante lentos para atacar, si te llegan a golpear te roban un objeto y si no los matas en los próximos segundos después de haberte robado tu objeto, se pueden enterrar y no los ves más nunca.
Los gatos aliados no solo cumplen la función de ser guerreros a tu lado, sino que también te ayudan a conseguir recursos fuera de las cacerías, es decir, dentro del pueblo principal, pueden cocinarte cosas que te dan mejoras en las estadísticas, etc.

Cats are a too funny part of this game, we can get them as allies (Felyne Comrade, third image, centered) or get them as enemies (Felyne, Melynx, first images, left and right).
The Felyne Comrad are cats that accompany you on expeditions, you can put armor and weapons on them like you and they can do damage, set traps, heal you, remove poisoning and other things that you can teach them throughout your game experience, they are too epic, they even have particular personalities, some are cowards and do not face the giant monsters but there are some that are so brave that they start attacking before you and everything.
The Felyne and Melynx, that is, the enemy cats, are terribly annoying because although they are quite slow to attack, if they get to hit you they steal an item and if you don't kill them in the next few seconds after they have stolen your item, they can bury themselves and you never see them again.
The allied cats not only fulfill the function of being warriors by your side, but they also help you to get resources outside the hunts, that is, inside the main village, they can cook things for you that give you improvements in your stats, and so on.

¡Estoy listo para volver a jugar este increíble jueog en su épica versión para PC! Esta se llama Monster Hunter World y según tengo entendido tiene un modo multijugador así que las cosas se podrán intensas cuando enseñe a @dimeshana a cazar monstruos, seremos alto equipo de cazadores.
Y no solo tengo el hype a mil por este gran videojuego, ya que ¡CREARON UNA PELÍCULA DEL JUEGO! Y más allá del hecho de que veré las escenas de acción de este épico videojuego en la pantalla grande, ¡la actriz que protagoniza la película es Milla Jovovich y aparecen monstruos épicos como la Rathian!

I'm ready to play this amazing game again in its epic PC version! This one is called Monster Hunter World and as I understand it has a multiplayer mode so things could get intense when I teach @dimeshana how to hunt monsters, we'll be high team hunters.
And not only I have huge hype for this great video game, since they CREATED A MOVIE OF THE GAME! And beyond the fact that I'll see the action scenes of this epic video game on the big screen, the actress starring in the movie is Milla Jovovich and epic monsters like the Rathian appear!

En algun lugar de mi casa debe existir un disco duro con algo asi como 1tb de juegos para psp, tuve la consola y con el pasar de los años la vendi y solo quede con el emulador, desde hace ya algun tiempo no me dedico a jugar. Rara vez a estas hora solo jugando counter.
Uff excelente, yo utilizaba dos juegos que tenía en discos de PSP y lo demás era puros juegos que tenía en mi pc y le colocaba al PSP cada vez que recuperaba la fiebre y este fue uno que no pude dejar por mucho tiempo jajaja
