Mi computadora no corre absolutamente nada en estos momentos porque los años ya le han estado pasando factura, sin embargo, cuando se encontraba en mejor estado, podían correr determinados videojuegos no muy exigentes en cuanto a especificaciones que han sabido ganarse un espacio en mi corazón porque pese a ser simples en apariencia gracias a sus gráficos, sobresalen por mucho en jugabilidad y disfrute. Pensando en aquellos sin una computadora potente que de igual manera están dentro de los videojuegos y quieren seguir divirtiéndose dentro de sus limitaciones, he querido compartir esta videojuego de nombre ‘Papers, Please’ diseñado por Lucas Pope y desarrollado por 3909 LLC que con muy poco supo hacer mucho.

My computer does not run absolutely nothing right now because the years have already been taking their toll, however, when it was in better condition, could run certain video games not very demanding in terms of specifications that have managed to win a space in my heart because despite being simple in appearance thanks to its graphics, excel by far in gameplay and enjoyment. Thinking about those without a powerful computer that are still into video games and want to continue having fun within their limitations, I wanted to share this video game called 'Papers, Please' designed by Lucas Pope and developed by 3909 LLC that with very little knew how to do a lot.
No sé si alguna vez han soñado con ser inspector de aduanas, la persona que decide si entras en determinado país revisando la documentación… tener semejante poder entre manos puede que llegue a ser una visión magnífica pero con gran responsabilidad a su vez, asumiendo riesgos que incluso implican nuestra vida, pues son varios los peligros a los cuales puede enfrentarse una persona trabajando en esta garita. En Arstotzka los errores se pagan caro, del rendimiento que tengamos no cometiendo el mínimo error dependerá la supervivencia de aquellos a quienes amamos, equivocarnos, supone menos dinero, aunque por allí la corrupción se asoma y no necesariamente se va a perder dinero pero sí nos coloca en una posición peligrosa con los jefes. Es aquí donde se entrelazan diferentes historias.
I do not know if you have ever dreamed of being a customs inspector, the person who decides whether you enter a certain country by checking the documentation ... having such power in your hands may become a magnificent vision but with great responsibility in turn, assuming risks that even involve our life, because there are several dangers to which a person can face working in this checkpoint. In Arstotzka mistakes are paid dearly, the survival of those we love will depend on the performance we have by not making the slightest mistake, making a mistake means less money, although corruption looms there and not necessarily going to lose money but it does put us in a dangerous position with the bosses. It is here where different stories intertwine.
Podría parecer sencillo pero no lo es, hay muchos detalles del revisado que pueden pasarse por alto fácilmente, pueden llegar con pasaportes falsos de excelente calidad que pone a prueba qué tan atento se está a las variaciones de cada uno de ellos, porque hay distintos países, cada uno con su respectivo pasaporte. Algunos por razones políticas necesitarán de documentos adicionales a los usuales para poder entrar al país así que hay que estar atentos a los cambios cada día, así como a lo que dicen con relación a su razón de entrar porque algunos dirán que es para quedarse pero dentro del documento establece que es por tránsito, esta sería una razón para denegarles la entrada a Arstotzka. También tendremos una lista de criminales que nos pondrá en alerta, sobre si llegan a estar en la garita para llamar a las autoridades.
It might seem simple but it is not, there are many details of the revised one that can be easily overlooked, they can arrive with fake passports of excellent quality that tests how attentive you are to the variations of each one of them, because there are different countries, each one with its respective passport. Some for political reasons will need additional documents to the usual ones to enter the country so you have to be aware of the changes every day, as well as what they say regarding their reason for entering because some will say it is to stay but inside the document states that it is for transit, this would be a reason to deny them entry to Arstotzka. We will also have a list of criminals that will put us on alert, if they are at the checkpoint to call the authorities.
Todo muy acorde a la vida real, llegará un punto donde están intentando entrar hasta con armas dentro del país por lo que debemos asegurarnos sobre si tienen encima algún objeto extraño, esto se puede hacer viendo un documento donde dice el peso de la persona y compararlo con el peso que marca en la garita porque están siendo pesados allí, entonces si esos valores no concuerdan se procede a verlos a través de la máquina para confirmar. En el fondo todo termina siendo un reto que por lo menos a mí me emocionaba, el tener que estar prestando atención a absolutamente todo porque no quería que se me escapara alguien, la molestia de haber revisado para que después de que pasara la persona sonara ese icónico sonido del ticket de amonestación porque algo no estaba correcto y no lo había visto no tiene comparación.
All very much in line with real life, there will come a point where they are trying to enter even with weapons inside the country so we must make sure if they have any foreign object on them, this can be done by looking at a document where it says the weight of the person and compare it with the weight marked on the checkpoint because they are being weighed there, then if these values do not match we proceed to see them through the machine to confirm. In the end it all ends up being a challenge that at least I was excited about, having to pay attention to absolutely everything because I did not want someone to escape, the hassle of having to check so that after the person passed the iconic sound of the warning ticket sounded because something was not correct and I had not seen it is unparalleled.
Aunque puede volverse algo repetitivo revisando documentos la verdad es que lo recomiendo mucho, la primer vez jugándolo es una experiencia que no se olvida, a mí me gustaría tener la posibilidad de jugarlo por segunda vez ahora por todo este tiempo que ha pasado esperando que de alguna manera de haya mantenido ese sentimiento de descubrimiento. Tiene diversos finales, algo que lo hace más atractivo y entretenido porque no todo lo que haces llega al mismo resultado, podremos ver incluso la horrible cara del país para el cual trabajamos que nos deja un aprendizaje si se quiere mirar con profundidad cómo termina todo. Este siempre será uno de mis preferidos pero nunca logrará superar lo que siento por ‘Nuclear Throne’ aunque es una dinámica muy diferente.
Although it can become somewhat repetitive reviewing documents the truth is that I highly recommend it, the first time playing it is an experience that is not forgotten, I would like to have the chance to play it a second time now for all this time that has passed hoping that somehow it has kept that feeling of discovery. It has several endings, something that makes it more attractive and entertaining because not everything you do reaches the same result, we can even see the horrible face of the country for which we work that leaves us a learning if you want to look deeply how it all ends. This will always be one of my favorites but it will never manage to surpass what I feel for 'Nuclear Throne' although it is a very different dynamic.
