Finally got around completing enough Project 2021 missions to gain 180 tokens. These missions were considerably longer and more focused on stats rather than teamplay or "play with friends" which has become usual in League of Legends missions.
With 200 tokens I could have opted for the Project 2021 Orb which gives me a chance at Gemstone Skin shard, Gemstone or G/netic bag and a guaranteed Random Skin Shard. Those sound good but I am tired of the unpromising gemstones and the base skin shards that are of no value.
In exchange for 180 Project 2021 tokens, I forged 3 hex keys. I had 9 hextech crafting boxes waiting. That means I can open 3 and still have 6 more. I am hoping to get at least one legendary skin or skin shard. If not, an epic skin shard or a legacy content skin shard will be good enough. I can disenchant them for orange essence to buy another skin.
HEXTECH BOX 1
I received 2 drops from this box. The first being the Bouquet Ward skin shard. Very disappointing. Is anyone ever hyped about a ward skin? I do not think so. Very poor start to a box opening that I have been waiting for so eagerly.
The second drop from the first hextech box opening was 150 orange essence. I was not expecting a skin shard of any kind since there isn't one after a skin shard drop. Or at least that is what I have noticed. I am not too sad about the orange essence since I can only stockpile orange essence to buy other skins.
HEXTECH BOX 2
Another disappointing drop. The first drop of the second hextech box opening is the Wolf Ward skin shard. At least this one looks kinda cool. But I already have the ward skin that I like and I am not going to replace it. I need champion skin shards!!
The second drop of the second hextech box opening was yet another 150 Orange Essence. That brings us to a nice total of 300 orange essences from two loot boxes. A good amount, but not enough to buy anything...yet.
HEXTECH BOX 3
Really had my fingers crossed for this hextech crafting loot box. I have waited far too long for such disappointments. 3rd time is a charm, right?
Well, the third hextech crafting loot box dropped a nice champion skin. About time! It is the Rune Wars Renekton skin. Upgrades into permanent for 675 OE, disenchants to 195 OE. It is a pretty cool skin, and unlocking this would make it my second Renekton skin.
The first Renekton skin I acquired was in 2019. A legacy skin, the Galactic Renekton. Including the Rune Wars Renekton, I have the Conqueror Karma and Underworld Wukong skins waiting. Now I battling over unlocking legacy skins or epic and legendary ones.
Storm Dragon Lee Sin
Talking of legendary skins, I finally got around unlocking the Legendary Storm Dragon Lee Sin. I haven't played Lee in almost 2 years. But as soon as I saw the skin I was in love with this champion again. It simply looks so good and the animations are incredible. I t has brought Lee Sin back to life.
I got the shard very recently, and immediately knew this is the skin I am unlocking first. I disenchanted the skin shards I got, disenchanted an Annie, Nocturne and one more skin. Collected enough OE and unlocked it. Pretty proud about having this skin in the collection!
