I'm not a pro gamer but I've always been intrigued by League of Legends. Every year I make it my duty to watch the Worlds finals opening ceremony and this year did not disappoint. Especially with everything that's being going on this year with COVID-19 and how the pandemic has affected the way events such as this have been held I think Shanghai did a pretty impressive job.
I can't imagine a country that is so rich with experience in technological advancements would be impressed with the presentation of this years ceremony compared to previous years but I think it was amazing. I loved the introduction to K/DA with their recent song More, the epic theme song Legends Never Die performance and of course the version of Take Over by Max but the highlight for me would of course be when they opened the Louis Vuitton travel trophy case to show us the Summoner's Cup (me clapping hysterically). Maybe it's because the trophy weighs about 32kgs and is considered one of the biggest trophies in the world of E-sports or perhaps it's because its so shiny and beautiful (also me clapping hysterically), all in all, even if I started playing League of Legends now, I am probably destined to admire the Summoners Cup from my laptop screen at home like I do every year but hopefully I can at least check it out in person some time in the future (post pandemic) when I hopefully attend the Worlds final opening ceremony #goals for an amateur gamer
