Thanks to the Sea

The sea isn't just full of beauties. There are so many things that the sea has to offer always. Whenever you want to be there, stay while just watching. For some, they don't just go to the sea for sightseeing, healing from the peaceful surroundings and just do nothing. Mostly, when the seawater level is dropping like the rocks and sand under can be seen. They will go to the sea for food, especially those people who do not have viand food, whether for breakfast or dinner.

Usually, when the sun was still rising and times it was setting. A lot of people started exploring the sea to find food. They don't bring a spear or materials for fishing because what they are after is not fish but sea urchins to eat. They will only bring a knife or sharp materials to dig for sea urchins and at the same time use it to cut it. As Filipinos, we have a basic food namely rice and if there is no other food to pair it's not that edible. So what most people do is to bring boiled rice to the sea and then search for sea urchins to pair with it.

Not just adults learn how to find sea urchins. When adults go to the sea, children come along so if there are no adults to come with them they can do it by themselves. If you don't believe it, I think I showed you an image above that only children were eating here. Children can be independent in terms of searching for sea urchins because this is what they always see during low tide.

Well, if you are not used to this you will find it hard. Even though you know how or where to find sea urchins, I'm telling you it's not easy. Sometimes the signs where they can be found will not always have the presence of sea urchins. If there is, you might find small ones that are not good to eat because the flesh inside is still developing or growing. It takes experience and knowledge how to find one. Even me, I consider myself not really good at it because I do not always do this kind of thing. If we want to eat sea urchins, we ask for someone to get it for us but of course with payment.

So a kind of view during the afternoon at sea when it's low tide is always like this. The beautiful sunset and the beautiful people hoping to find food to eat. I'm sure a good appetite will be had when eating with this kind of surroundings; peaceful and beautiful.
