Screenwriter Marty is experiencing a creative crisis, puzzling over the next plot. He seems to be missing the thrill. Marty's friend - Billy, an unemployed dog kidnapping actor - with the help of a strange guy named Hans, manages to steal the beloved dog of a very cool gangster. Ironically, Marty is unwittingly involved in this case.
