Our Filipino Native Bags Called Bayong Are Definitely World-Class

Last February, my friend and I planned to expand his social enterprise business to our side of the country. He is both helping pandan weavers and local artists alike because he is selling handwoven pandan leaf bags locally called bayong with paintings from a set of struggling artists in the Visayas region here in the Philippines.

I have agreed and joined this venture since really the pandemic has been tough for these kinds of industries. Along with the business partnership, I also purchased for myself and some gifts for very dear friends. Each and every bag is customized and designs were approved by myself. I fell in love with a mother and child sample but I wanted mine tone unique so I gave instructions on how to make mine.

Finally, earlier today, my friend who owns Mav Goes Local, the social enterprise company of my friend sent me a message that my bag is on the way and will arrive in a couple of days. I was so excited. I did not expect the bunch to be sent soon, like now, because I ordered quite a few.

This is the exact same bag that is custom made for me. Image is provided with permission from FB page Mag Goes Local.
