Greetings to all the friends and readers of Blurt.
It is the first time that I am going to publish content other than crafts. Today I dare to share with you a very significant writing for me.
Se trata de mi primer y único poema, escrito en idioma Inglés. Debo aclarar que mi idioma nativo es el español y que todos mis escritos están en mi lengua materna. Este poema en particular está escrito en Inglés debido a que soy profesora de Inglés y cuando estuve en la universidad tuve que escribir un poema como requisito para aprobar la asignatura de literatura Inglesa.
It is my first and only poem, written in the English language. I must clarify that my native language is Spanish and that all my writings are in my mother tongue. This particular poem is written in English because I am an English teacher and when I was in college I had to write a poem as a requirement to pass the English literature course.
A pesar de que fue una asignación, me gustó mucho escribir este poema, el cual tiene una hermosa historia de trasfondo, sin embargo no acostumbro a explicar el significado de mis escritos ya que una de las cosas que más disfrutaba de mis clases de literatura era indagar el significado de cada palabra; el sentimiento impreso en cada linea o frase, así como la intención y el mensaje del autor. Transportarse y tal vez identificarse con cada verso o estrofa.
Although it was an assignment, I really enjoyed writing this poem, which has a beautiful background story, however I do not usually explain the meaning of my writings since one of the things that I enjoyed the most about my literature classes was investigate the meaning of each word; the sentiment printed in each line or phrase, as well as the intention and the author's message. Transport yourself and perhaps identify with each verse or stanza.
La literatura en general me parece realmente maravillosa, nos permite sumergimos en un mundo mágico donde nuestra imaginación trata de seguir el ritmo del escritor. Podemos viajar a través de los relatos y narraciones, visualizando cada elemento presente gracias a las descripciones detalladas del autor.
Literature in general seems really wonderful to me, it allows us to immerse ourselves in a magical world where our imagination tries to keep up with the writer. We can travel through the stories and narratives, visualizing each element present thanks to the detailed descriptions of the author.
Sin embargo, la poesía es mi rama favorita de la literatura. Aunque debo confesar que no soy una experta en el tema, simplemente disfruto leyendo obras poéticas permitiendo que ellas generen en mi emociones y sensaciones, sin tomar en cuenta el estilo literario, la lirica, la métrica y esos conceptos básicos propios de la literatura.
However, poetry is my favorite branch of literature. Although I must confess that I am not an expert on the subject, I simply enjoy reading poetic works allowing them to generate emotions and sensations in me, without taking into account the literary style, the lyric, the meter and those basic concepts typical of literature.
Soy más bien muy informal y espontánea. Solo escribo lo que nace de mi ser, no pretendo ser poetiza ni nada por el estilo, y mis "poemas" prefiero llamarlos "escritos" pues no creo que merezcan tal título.

I am rather very informal and spontaneous. I only write what is born of my being, I do not pretend to be a poet or anything like that, and I prefer to call my "poems" "written" because I do not think they deserve such a title.
