Weird Hungarian Expressions and Proverbs #4

in blurtep •  2 years ago  (edited)

This is a really funny one. . .I mean I don't know how people come up with these ideas, and this one is something that is very commonly used in Hungary.

Kering mint gòlya fos a levegõben.

The literal translation is:
Circulating like the stork's shit in the air.

We use this, when people have no idea what they are doing, can't find their place, and going around in circles ( both literally and figuratively speaking).

Example of it's use:
We invited @adetorrent to join in and do some sound healing with us, but he was just circulating around like the stork's shit in the air.

(Disclaimer! Partially true story 😅)

Do you have any weird, funny or strange expressions or proverbs you wanna share?

I would say the same expression about those who always talk about the same thing while their idea is already clear to everyone. That's really crazy to see. I wish to see from them something new. lol

I usually create drama without mentioning names, they will expose themselves by themselves. lol
