Today my son was playing in the playground with a kid, and another one start being unpleasant. So, I decided to take my son home to avoid any harm for him.

Of course my son wanted to play more, and it was already a bit dark outside and I took him and start explaining why we needed to live. By experience, I know that's better to not deal with some people at all. And that's how I thought about the following expression :

Сила есть, ума не надо !

That means : ''There is power, no need for mind.''

They mean by that, when some people have power, they don't use their brain.

That could be also said about the abusers of the power they have. And the abuse can come in any form.

And most of us here know what I'm talking about, but it doesn't mean that there aren't other types of power demonstration. Even here that could be seen.

The solution :

No matter how much power we have, we should act with others with respect. And even if we feel that someone is mistaken, we can show him/her the right directions politely, with wisdom, and some metaphors.

I guess that's what I'm doing with sharing Russian expressions to the world.

That's how a simple expression can make us think about so many things.

In every nation we can find the good and the bad.

There is no perfect nation !

Сheck other expressions I shared here :
-Expression about measurement
-Expression about fear
-Expression about priorities
-Expression about safety

Let's support #blurtep with sharing your local expressions and proverbs.

Thanks for the mention. Great sharing, as always.

No matter how much power we have, we should act with others with respect.

I think this is the most important thing. . .i see how many people treat their employees like shit. . .just because they have power over them.

And equally true for many other context, where people abuse their power.

Interesting that when we meet a new person, we tend to ask; "What do you do for living?", and many treat them based on their perceived worth based on their answer.

I trust we get to reach a phase when we live in a world, where all are equal and everyone is treated with respect 🙏🏻

Yeah, that's why I stop working for someone a long time ago. I prefer to create my thing instead. Or if I'll work for someone, like I was translating, I'll do that for good money only. But you're right, no matter the work people have, we should respect them, even if they are homeless. That's why when I was translating, and I was in a company with people who have little salary and work to survive, I respected them and never showed them that I'm better or something like that. Their hard work, their time is valuable. I even know someone who work for salary, and he became a very popular vlogger because he was so real, sharing his work and how he lives. Minimalism is something really awesome. Even if someone has money, he/she always can be modeste.

Yes, the most important thing is to realize that we are all equal. No matter what money or status one has, or doesn't have;
At the end of the day we all humans.

And yes, I had to stop working for people cause i hated the whole hierarchy thing.
