testing out the wistia iframe embed code, it works pretty sweet!

so this is a quick test to see if the wistia embed code that @ericet had deployed the other day is working in a post, i know he said it was in the comments but i wanted to test a fully made wistia embed with all the bells and whistles.

it's actually pretty close, not sure why the image is blurred out until you hover over it but one of the features of the wistia player is that you can use an animated part of the video to loop instead of just a static image so maybe it's something to do with that and activating the iframe by hovering over it -- maybe we can fix that, i'm no sure.

BUT! this is a big deal for blurt!

i don't think you can do this on steem or hive and my ASK for this fell on deaf ears for well over three years so it's nice to know i'm being listened too and that devs are willing to jump in and make some adjustments and changes to the frontend to allow us content creators to pull in the places where we host our video content.

Being able to have call to actions in the videos, chapter support, turnstiles, taking email addresses down, just so many features in enterprise video that you can't do with youtube, lbry and so on.

Also, if people are willing to help with closed caption writing we can support many languages too so we could make a collection of tutorial style videos for onboarding for blurt, you can have these live as a twitter pinned tweet and then all we have to do is update the video, it's got a replace feature too so it can be a constantly live updating video tweet, pretty cool for updates and when things change.

some of the features of wistia iframe/embed

I'm excited to share with you ways we can use wistia to help improve and educate brand new users and do outreach to existing audiences too, this is gonna be cool! :)

Thanks @ericet for plugging that in!

right, does something weird when it has the gif image as part of the player, i think it might if i had a static image which it can do as well, it seems blurred until you hover over it. i mean it does work, might need to bring focus to the iframe when the page loads thou to get the iframe to start the auto play of the image/gif -- i recorded a video about the features of wistia. currently uploading will add to this post.
