Shakepay is the only thing I use for buying crypto. I have found that the fees are very small. They're mainly just the network transaction fees. The first times I used it, I calculated that I lost less than 1% of the value of Bitcoin or Etherium by the time it was in my wallet, so that's really reasonable.
I used to buy at the Bitcoin ATM, but that was super expensive. I didn't want to use Coinbase and other similar services because of their KYC procedure. I liked Shakepay's version of KYC because it didn't require me to send any pictures of my driver's licence or any of that nonsense.
