After the inglorious success of Starship SN10, SpaceX tries again with SN11.
You can watch narrated paint-drying here as nobody seems to know the actual launch time.
Some SpaceXspeak:
Rapid Unplanned Disassembly (RUD) = it exploded.
success = less of a failure than previous rocket.
Admittedly, SN10 did actually land vertically, which is close to miracuolous - before it spontaneously disassembled itself in a ball of fire.
What's it all for?
Elon's dream of Skynet Starlink, is to cover the planet in a pall of satellites - about 12,000 of them - all beaming synthetic microwaves to you, happy humans. Nowhere to hide, except for a few caves or that bunker you dont have.
Thing is... using 19th century chemical combustion techniques to throw a metal can into space just seems... such a diversion. We already have much better tech - maybe the guardians of physics haven't told Elon, or have better uses for it, such as stealth bombers and drones.
Enjoy the future.
LOOOOL Thank good there's a fast forward for video recordings so I could easily save me aight hours 55 minutes until crafting this very comment. Take care! (Cross-commented at https://noise.cash/post/1gm74zrw )
