If you have a YouTube channel or are interested in starting one, you can also include affiliate links in YouTube videos. Adding affiliate links to videos can make them more professional and enhance the user experience by providing additional value.
Amazon affiliate links can also be shared on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, making the affiliate program a great option for anyone who’s active on social media. You don’t need a large following to benefit from using such links.
How does Amazon’s affiliate program work?
Amazon Associates is essentially a referral program that pays a commission to referring websites. So when you send a customer to Amazon via a link on your website, you get a percentage of the sale of whatever they purchase over the next 24 hours.
Your commission varies depending on what type of item a customer purchases.
Refer to the chart below to see what Amazon’s fixed standard program fee rate is for various product categories:
I am running several experiments with Text links on my Blurt blog ... Amazon Associates offers excellent analytics. Stay tuned for updates.

Great idea.
This sounds great, I'm really interested in learning from this... you could do a tutorial on how to monetize with blurt blog, I know this is already, but I don't know if it's something complicated for those of us who live in Venezuela, how could we get the profits, and all this. This idea would attract many people to blurt...
Do you have Amazon in Venezuela ? You apply to be an affiliate and list your Blurt blog as your website.... the place you will do product reviews and they will accept you as an affiliate.
I affiliated myself but not with a youtube channel, what happens is that here in Venezuela I have problems with the speed of the internet and I could not continue with that project, but I am understanding your idea.
I'm monetizing the blurt blog by reviewing it, only I haven't seen that kind of content here, at least not in steemit, I see that they approach everything from another angle
Yeah. Steemit and Hive hate these ideas and will downvote anything you post with affiliate links. You will be censored and muted. Steemit and a Hive are not interested in monetizing anything with Fiat.
I did try this technique on Steem a few years ago without receiving any downvotes. But unfortunately, my blog was too small at that time to sell even the minimum requirement and my affiliate status was suspended / cancelled by Amazon.
Yeah... you need to post the links everywhere to meet their first threshold. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, ....
If they don’t have amazon I am sure there are many other companies that offer affiliates. There are so many ways to monetize a blog.
These subjects interest me... since I write poetry and well I have wanted to do this for a long time, but I don't know well how to do it.
i have a doubt about it, when you register with affiliates on different sites, not only amazon they will ask you for the link to your site, where you will generate traffic
so far so good let's say you provide the
https://blurt.world/@username
But when you create a post on blurt.world it is recreated in other front-end as for example
blurt.blog
blurt.buzz
in other words, the same post with different url, which was informed there affiliated site registered
now imagine this with hive or steem that has dozens of front ends with different url
can i have problem with that ??
amazon can't find strange traffic coming from uninformed site
I think you can use even a Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Wordpress, blogger site.... anything .... and then post the affiliate links anywhere. That’s what I do.
