It is about 2.5 million light years away. Light travels 1 lakh 6 thousand miles in one second. At this speed, the distance that light travels in one year is the distance of 1 light year. When we say that the star in space is very close, but it is very close in terms of our conventional distance, but it is ‘close’ as a cosmic (cosmic) distance. In that sense Andromeda is very close to our galaxy. They are two members of a small galaxy group. Astronomers say the two galaxies are moving towards each other. This will result in a catastrophic cosmic collision between these two galaxies at some point. Since the galaxies, like the atoms, are basically located in the void, during such a collision, the two galaxies will actually face each other almost through smoke. But the gravitational force will cause the constellations to collapse. Scientists have calculated through the Hubble Space Telescope that this face-to-face collision will occur about 200 billion years later.
