The popularity of Android peaks in the smartphone market.But if you are an Android phone user, then a new news can worry you.
Researchers at security software maker Iset have come up with a new android spyware capable of secretly stealing your phone call records,stealing contacts and reading private messages.

The name of this new spyware is 'Android / Spy C23.A'.It uses a very familiar app as a bait and attacks the device through the fake Android App Store.

In a blog post,lucas Stefanco, a researcher at Iset, said: "We've identified a fake Android app store used to spread dangerous malware.There, the malware was hidden in apps posted as "Android Update", "Thrima" and "Telegram". "
Of concern,the researchers' analysis found that android / Spy C23. can perform a number of dangerous activities,including taking pictures, recording audio,deleting files, and even recording your screen.

In light of this research,researchers have advised Android users to download apps only from the official Google Play Store.

Stefanco said, ‘Android users should only use the official Google Play Store to prevent spyware attacks.Extra caution is required when downloading apps from any other apps store.Checking for app developers, double-checking permission requests and using advanced and trusted mobile antivirus will ensure security.
