While surfing the web I stumbled on particular content that caught my attention, what will happen if cryptocurrencies get banned by the government I guess the question that needs to be addressed is, can bitcoin be ban? citing from the above link more people were reiterating on bitcoin is a waste of energy/resource posing health challenge to the citizen by fuming harmful waste gas into the air another claim is it's here to oppose the government which are the sovereign power and no one can stand against authority, its use to fuel money laundering activity across different countries, therefore, cryptocurrencies should be banned, with countries like China Bolivia, Ecuador, Russia, India, banning crypto-related activities and countries like the U.S. which are still skeptical on the adoption/regulation of crypto for its citizens it's very difficult to determine what could happen years from now.
To be in power you need to be in charge of what motivates people and money can be a key motivator this alone can signal to the authorities that bitcoin is here to take that away from them.
The shot question here is can bitcoin be banned?
Answer No.
Hypothetically if the world leaders/nations would unanimously decide to ban all crypto-related activities in each country that would be a yes.
Chances of having a complete ban on Bitcoin are quite low it's as hard as asking people not to have free thought which can't be controlled.
Bitcoin is built as a permissionless
pseudonymous blockchain which means anyone anywhere in the world can interact and contribute to the blockchain without the need for verifying identity.
What if Bitcoin can't get banned? then adoption could be completely slowed down this is so happening with regulations scaring people out of bitcoin once you are misinformed about the whole concept of blockchain technology you will always view cryptocurrencies as 👽 bad innovation.
