Popular multi-tech company Microsoft is about to shut down the services of Internet Explorer 11. The company is focusing on their new Chromium Engine-based Edge browser instead of the old Internet Explorer. Last week, Microsoft started redirecting Internet Explorer 11 or IE11 users to the latest version of the Edge browser. At the same time, a list of websites has been issued from which users will be redirected to Edge browser. The websites on which Microsoft's team tops the list. Internet Explorer still accounts for about 5 percent of total web traffic, much to the surprise of many users being redirected to the Chromium-based Edge browser.
Last August, Microsoft announced that it would be shutting down Internet Explorer 11 from November 30. The process will start from November this year and will be completed by August 2021 next year. It also said that from October, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Google's many more products, Microsoft Team, etc. will be redirected to Edge from the pages of Internet Explorer.
Users, after being redirected to Microsoft Edge, will be explained the reason for this redirect via a one-time dialog box. It will prompt them to import browsing data, including details such as passwords, search engines, open tabs, settings, cookies and home pages. These policies will be available through the Admax file update from today and will be accessible until the 9th of next month.
Many Windows PCs have Internet Explorer 11 at the moment. However, Microsoft has launched this version of the 'Microsoft Edge' browser, which is the default browser on all Windows 10 operating systems and displays the results of sites that are not compatible with IE11.
