This is a Canaima Tablet Model TR10CS1, equipment that recently the government of Venezuela is giving to the university professors, unfortunately its characteristics and it is my opinion, they are not equipment that presents good performance for the activities that we can carry out when teaching our subjects.

They consist of an Intel Atom dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, a 10 inch screen, 3 megapixel front camera and 2 megapixel poster, comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed another great absence is that it does not include Google Play Store or basic Google applications, only brings pre-installed a version copy of Google Play Store with the name Canaima Store

The Canaima tablets and laptops were a great initiative carried out by the Venezuelan government since 2008, as always with a political and corruption background disguised as the supposed intention to reduce the technological gap and make technological means available to many students, from basic education, high school and of course the university.

As always this type of populist government that only seeks to stay in power at the expense of the citizens that they can manipulate can say with all propriety that unfortunately all of the government's initiatives instead of contributing to society what they do is convert this type of action into political proselytizing and benefiting only the people that allow themselves to be bent over by these criminals that occupy positions in government.

The most regrettable thing is that just those people who are part of the government's entourage simply used these tablets for resale and the worst thing is that among the government's supporters there is something very sad that shows what kind of people these people are made of or trained.

It is well known worldwide that the pandemic has changed our lifestyle and that somehow we have had to overcome this terrible situation in different ways, the student sector does not escape from it, so we have had to use technological tools in order to fulfill the role of giving our classes.

In Venezuela there will be an election that from my point of view is a rigged election from birth, but in view of that as always these guys at the last minute trying to buy consciousness began to hold a conference to give these tablets to the university professors, which happens to be just when they are very close to that election.

The worst thing is that the tablets that they are delivering have the appearance that they were stored with more than 6 years, only they know, where devils had hidden those tablets, thus I say it.

Knowing that this quarantine started nine months ago, I ask why they didn't deliver these tablets in the second month of the quarantine, it's a big coincidence that they do it just when they are close to the election date.

Lo triste es que todavía hay conciencias que pueden comprarse con artimañas como esta. Saludos, @lanzjoseg.

That is very interesting.

Reminds me of a time that commies tried to build laptops in my home city of Buffalo New York.

they got tons and tons of money from the state, and defrauded a prominent local investor, said that they were hiring only poor people, and brag about how their products was made in the United States but in fact it was entirely made in China and it was the cheapest garbage available. This company was of course BAKUSA.

Bad. Bad. They did bad.

Commies and technology do not mix.

Sorry they got you such a crappy laptop, do you currently have a better laptop?

How can the global blurt community help the Venezuelan blurt community to get their hands on decent tech gear?

Hi @jacobgadikian

16 year jump.
Good question, I have a desktop computer that I recently bought, however to buy it I saved from the end of December 2019, my old computer was a Pemtiun 4 from 2003 and just 16 years later I was able to change it. Saving in Venezuela is difficult because the communist government pays the university professors an average salary of 6 dollars a month and increasingly less as the parallel dollar sponsored by the government rises in price.

The communists do not know how to do anything good at what they do ... I must correct that the only thing they are good at is stealing money from the state for their own benefit.

How can the global blurt community help the Venezuelan blurt community to get their hands on decent tech gear?

First you can see the activity of Venezuelans who are truly active.
One of the best ways is that the publications of these Venezuelans are valued, in this way you can save money to buy a good decent tech gear.
The other way that I can think of is to create a loan fund to buy the equipment and then that person pays it for a beneficiary account so that from there that loan is discounted.

well that's one of the ideas that comes to mind right now ..

@megadrive

Do we have a curation account for Venezuela specifically?

Hola @jacobgadikian, Thank you for your interest in the Venezuelan community, you are very kind. Blurtespano, has the responsibility of curating the publications of the entire Spanish-speaking community.

Well there's going to be a blurt Venezuela too.

2M

Specifically for Venezuela content and community building.

@megadrive

My thinking here is that we can recognize the special and difficult situation our Venezuelan friends are in and the overall high quality of their content and give them an outsized delegation used to benefit their community
