Una excelente herramienta para saber que mirror elegir es Mirror Status, pagina en donde vienen todos los mirrors publicos y activos de Arch y en donde – y esto es lo más importante- cada mirror es valorado por su status las ultimas 24 hrs.
La lista se llama Successfully Syncing Mirror y el valor a buscar es la ultima columna que se llama: Mirror Score
Los aspectos en base a los cuáles se define esta calificación son los siguientes:
- Last Sync: La ultima hora registrada de la sincronizacion de los archivos del mirror.
- Porcentaje de finalizacion: El numero de chequeos en el que el mirror se conecta y desconecta con exito, Si es menor que el 100% posiblemente el mirror no se encuentre accesible.
- Mirror URL: Los Mirrors son chequeados en una base por URL. Y enlista si tienen acceso ftp y http.
- μ Delay: Calcula el promedio de retardo del Mirror. Cualquier valor debajo de la hora se considera ideal.
