Currently, there are many people who will buy a computer or have a budget to buy a computer. But I know what kind of PC you will buy and what kind of hardware will be good in it or what kind of band you will like, I think it will serve as a guide line. So, as a hardware episode, we will start today with the details of motherboard, such as which motherboard is better, what are the advantages and disadvantages, market rate, which band is better, how long is the warranty, who is the established vendor, etc.
What is a motherboard?
In short, inside a computer, on the outside of a computer or in a box called a computer casing, a board with various devices on light green silicon attached to it is called a mother board. Just as a mother holds her baby in her arms, so does a mother board hold other parts of her body in her arms. Processor, Ram, ROM, Rechargeable Battery, Expansion Slot, Key board-Mouse connector. However, on Macintosh computers it is called a logic board. All the components of the computer are connected to each other. Ordinary desktop computers have a microprocessor, main memory, and other essential parts of the computer along with the motherboard. Other parts include sound and video controller, additional database, various plugin cards like LAN card etc. All input / output devices, including keyboards and mice, are also connected to the motherboard.
Types of motherboards by the manufacturer
Basically the motherboards are made with the processor base or socket centered. In keeping with the generation, it is called 1st Generation, 2nd Generation. However, along with the generation, motherboard manufacturers are also changing their updates, constantly adding new technologies to create surprises. For example, those who used motherboards in the 90's and 1997-2003, especially those with Intel Bays, used pinned motherboards. That means the processor then had a pin like a needle. Later, there are no needles in the processors used by Intel at present. Although it exists in MMD processors. Of course, we will discuss the details of the processor in the next episode. The socket on the motherboard also changes as the processor upgrade changes. For those who use an Intel processor-supported motherboard, the word LGA is mentioned in the socket. For example: In 1st & 2nd Generation - we have used LGA 775, 778, 1156, 1366 etc. For those who are using older PCs or you will see on the sales site that 95% of the old motherboards advertised for sales are motherboards supported by these old sockets. However with the change of socket other parts like Ram, Rom are changing.
On the other hand, another company other than Intel has gained a reputation for manufacturing processors and is currently competing with Intel, then AMD (Advanced Micro Devices). They also had to update with the generation as their previous sockets were AM, AM + AM2, AM2 +, FM, FM1, AM3 etc. 2nd and 3rd generation.
According to the latest data, motherboards supported by two of the most popular companies in the world, namely Intel and AMD, are being used more and more.
The sockets that are being used in the current generation of motherboards
Motherboard manufacturers are currently marketing processor-powered socket motherboards as the 4th and 5th generation. It is also available in any country. However, you can understand only if you ask the company at the time of purchase. Moreover, this issue is written on the motherboard packet. Modern socket boards supported by 4th and 5th generation Intel processors are LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1366, LGA 2011 etc. On the other hand AMD supported sockets are AM3 +, FM +, FX, FX + etc. Hope you understand about sockets.
I hope you have got some idea about the issues of motherboard from the above discussion. The rest of the episode will discuss which band's motherboards are better. Discuss with more information including topics.
