I was against Coal but the list has been implemented on blurt.blog anyway. Since then I've been watching who gets on it and I have to admit that I was wrong, Coal is a good idea.
I was recently accused of vote farming. I know that many votes go to dishonest users of this blockchain but I will never give up automatic voting because I think it has its advantages. Therefore, I want the community to decide which users should receive automatic votes and which should not. Can someone write a function that will check if the author is on Coal?
This is the code my bot uses

@ctime, I had a complaint from a project they say they are losing delegations to support their initiative because if users delegate to other accounts they don't get your vote, is that correct or is there a mistake?
I think the problem will be that the COAL list cannot be called using an API function call.
Maybe you could loop the objects of the COAL JSON file by the account names and check if this account is on this list.
I think the best way would be to download this json file once a day to own server via cron job, to the directory where the upvote bot is

I don't see a problem with auto voting system unless we try to use for farming purposes. Because I also use auto voting services for my project in Steemit. But I agree with megadrive's words about delegation services blocking. There are some good delegation services which you might want to accept for your code.

We don't have any other option to stop plagiarism, spamming, etc, and we don't want downvote, that's why we thought about the COOL tool.

I did not delegate to Voting services but to my main account. On most chains the actifit stats are seen as spam so I seperated them to a fresh account. Due to the fact that I curate and comment mostly with my main account I thought it would be a better Idea to delegate it to my main instead of powering it down and then send it over. I removed the delegation to my main - takes some days to be finalized.

What does on Coal mean? I haven't really been paying much attention to the blurt ecosystem, so I have to admit I'm ignorant to a lot of the nuances of blurt.
Also, your bot is for STEEM. Will that work with blurt?

BTW, I also like automatic voting. You make friends on blurt and sometimes you read content that from people you eventually get to know. It comes to a point where voting becomes tedious and it's easier to just automatically vote people that you're going to vote for anyway. Also, I like being able to follow my own votes. That is, whatever I've voted on, I go and read. It's a little backwards, but I like the idea of selecting people I want to automatically vote. I read their content later. If I don't like it, I unvote it or remove my vote. It's just easier and less of a bother.
