Lately, I saw a tweet from a First Class Graduate from one of Nigeria's best Universities. She tweeted appealing to the good and influential people in Nigeria to get her a job and she got remarkable responses from her fellow Nigerian youths. We have youths that have taken it as a point of responsibility to create jobs for oneself or to spend years searching for jobs and remain unemployed. This mentality was birthed as a result of owing to the fact that there are no jobs waiting for anyone anywhere after graduating from school.
In life, there are two categories of people. The first category is the people that makes things happen and the second category is the people that wait for things to happen. Those who are in the category of those that makes things happen are often seen as fortunate. They get almost everything they wish for. They hit their target almost everytime. They do not take no for an answer. They do not accept defeat. They go for it and make it come to live.
On the other hand, the category of people that wait for things to happen are often perpetual criticizers and complainers. They don't make moves or even make any attempt to make things happen. They just fold their hands and wait for things to unfold. They complain, and nag over issues they are supposed to take up immediately. Procrastination is their first name. They keep expecting things to work in their favor until they get frustrated. The religious ones would only pray and expect miracles to happen.
The earlier the better when you realize that life is not bed of roses and it's not an imaginary heaven where things happen miraculously with the help of angels.
If you a life partner, go get him or her. If you want a change in your finances, don't just wish, make efforts and make it happen. If you want a job, create it for yourself.
In a country like Nigeria, where there are no jobs, create one for yourself, even though capital may be a problem, but make efforts. Stop complaining. Do your best and leave the rest.
