Blurt Curation News - Sugarelys, BlurtHealth, R2Cornell, BlurtLife and more - 12 Dec 2020

News and links to recent curation activities on Blurt.

Note that after the latest links, we are starting to compile a list of all active curators and curation groups. This will make it easier for you to find the groups you may be interested in, especially those accounts and tags that need a short description regarding their focus or topic area.

Good to see an increase in curators using the #curation tag for their posts. The most important thing is to show bloggers that the project or community is active and voting. It is less important whether posts are daily or weekly, or whether they include a full list of upvoted posts or just a selection of the best. All those are up to the individual curator. I hope to see even more curation reports in the coming weeks, especially from those community accounts supported by the Blurt Foundation.

Sugarelys curation compilation || December 11/12/2020 [ENG / ESP]. Private curation project from @sugarelys. "Hey! I looking for creative content in all senses, I'm a faithful lover of art in all its aspects." Looks like the curation posts are new and are scheduled to be daily. Spanish/English languages.

Blurthealth Curation Report ~ Week 5. Community curation account @blurthealth, managed by @razack-pulo. Would be good to see some content in the weekly reports, such as in Week 4, so that writers have some benchmarks. Also note that @Blurthealth asks you to follow the account to be eligible for votes.

CURATION REPORT # 15 - 16 BLURT for @ R2CORNELL'S DISCORD COMMUNITY. R2Cornell is a popular and prominent private curation project. Much of the decision-making takes place in the discord server. The @r2cornell-curate account does much of the voting, showing a link to the original human curator, and also posts the curation reports.

BlurtLife Curation Report - Week 2. Great to see a new curation report; thanks to @priyanarc. This has already been added to our permanent list below, hence no need for further details.

Thank you for the mention of @r2cornell-curate project. As Blurt Fork settled in I created the curation account and funded it, mostly from the sale of Steem and Hive. We try and do a report weekly, highlighting some of the better publication that our curators found. We hope to be able to bring attention to under noticed publications.

I have asked @blessed-girl, who does the reports for me, to use the #curation tag. Excellent idea to begin your project.

Good to know the workers often behind the scenes - have added @blessed-girl to my follow list. I did a very similar thing way back on steem - voting on curators, both the lead accounts but also the actual human usernames.

That is wonderful that you also look at curator's personal publications. They work hard at curating, and still are able to to publish their own material. Those curating need support beyond what I can pay them.

I have even less power, which is why I ended up with the idea of supporting an "invisible" niche whose importance in the ecosystem was almost the inverse of their visibility - as on Steem, now on Blurt. The neonate @blurtcuration seems to already be having some effect - let's see how it goes :-)

Thanks for including me in your follow :)

Always appreciate the @r2cornell-curate project and my support will be always with you sir. Our curators do hard work for our community and for blurting blockchain as well...

Curators do work very hard. Even preparing the report is a lot of work. It is great to see so many curation projects on Blurt. Too many publications get missed without a curation project bringing it out. And, many individuals need the extra votes they get. That is one thing I love about Blurt: everyone working together to aid one another. So positive!

Thank you for the support @priyanarc.

Great, I'll add the "weekly reports" in next post as I add it as a permanent link to the growing list in the footer.

Thank you. periodically @blessed-girl has Internet issues then she combines 2 weeks together. She has been doing curation reports on all 3 platforms, but Blurt has been our main focus.

Good to see your project mentioned in this post by Blurtcuration team. Personally, I know that R2cornell-curate is a proponent in curating here in Blurt and one of the earliest initiatives in this platform.

More power to you and your team.

Thank you for your support. Yes, I believe I was the first to start the curation project. I recall many comments about it when Blurt was in its early stages.
