News and links to recent curation activities on Blurt.
Note that after the latest links, we are starting to compile a list of all active curators and curation groups. This will make it easier for you to find the groups you may be interested in, especially those accounts and tags that need a short description regarding their focus or topic area.
Good to see an increase in curators using the #curation tag for their posts. The most important thing is to show bloggers that the project or community is active and voting. It is less important whether posts are daily or weekly, or whether they include a full list of upvoted posts or just a selection of the best. All those are up to the individual curator. I hope to see even more curation reports in the coming weeks, especially from those community accounts supported by the Blurt Foundation.
Such curation reports also help to create a focus on the kinds of topics of interest within each community. Those users who insist on stuffing their posts with irrelevant tags will, hopefully, cease from doing so as the hoped-for votes never appear. This is also where commenting comes in handy as a way to guide the community towards higher quality posts and more meaningful exchanges.
Also note that the frequency of Blurt Curation posts is likely to be about every two or three days. As the long list becomes even longer, Blurt users have an updated source for their own favourite topics. That is the real aim of this project.
BlurtAfrica is a popular community curation tag, voted on by @BlurtAfrica and managed by @empato365. Would be good to know if there is any focus - Africa is a big place!
Blurtography is a popular tag, but the account @Blurtography has no curation activity! The idea was to focus on Blurt-photography but I see no activity in the last 2 months. Which means, use the tag if you wish but don't expect any votes because of it.
BlurtMusic is a community curation tag, voted on by @Blurtmusic and managed by @offgridlife. Focus is, obviously, on music; there are monthly challenges to generate posts but no curation reports.

And finally, each post includes one random community tag. This is not in expectation of votes but merely to spread awareness of the Blurt Curation service beyond its own specific tags.
Thanks also to all the curators who have answered my queries :-)
If you spot any errors, or you wish to update your listing, please just leave a comment.
Thanks!
My focus is in west-africa and west african university students. Which could help our DAU increase at a very good rate.
Thanks, is blurt365 still doing anything or is it dormant?
Since the Blurt power on blurtafrica was reduced by @megadrive from 1M to 500k, I decided to focus only on blurtafrica and not blurt365, blurt365 can have a separate curatiom initiative(@blurt365) when there is a curator for that
Thanks. Yes we upvote Blurt posts about Music ... Biggest upvotes go to people who share their original music videos from Youtube and original songs about Blurt.
