Bitcoin billionaires continue to pile up during the price drop. When Bitcoin (BTC) filled the price axis at 42 thousand dollars in December morning, the Bitcoin whale was busy piling up treasure.

One address belonging to Binance added 43,000 BTC on Tuesday at an average price of 46,553.68 dollars bringing the total value of the wallet to 5.5 billion dollars.

Elsewhere, the third-largest Bitcoin address continued its shopping, adding another 551 BTC since the last report of a drop in purchases, just two days ago. The wallet continues to aggressively accumulate in the range of 40 thousand dollars, now has a total of 121,396 BTC or about 5 billion dollars.

There were some concerns on the social media platform about the wallet owner behind the $43,000 BTC purchase, but Binance confirmed ownership of the address in a tweet sent in 2019.

The use of the wallet address intended "3LYJfcfHPXYJreMsASk2jkn69LWEYKzexb" is for the company to issue a number of crypto-pegged tokens on the Binance Chain, starting with BTCB, a BEP2 token pegged to BTC.

However, the wallet appears to have grown into a cold storage wallet for the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. In a tweet by blockchain tracker @whale_alert in April last year, the wallet was again labeled as the address of Binance BTC's backup wallet.
