In order to conveniently calculate your fertile and non fertile days, you need to first know your menstrual cycle length.
Note that a normal menstrual cycle (regular period) ranges between 21-35 days, anything below 21 days or above 35 days is abnormal (Irregular period).
The below guide is only for those that see their period every month, but don't know how to calculate their menstrual cycle. I will do another class for those that don't see their period every month as a result of hormonal imbalance or any underlying health issue or other factor.
To know your menstrual cycle, you are to start counting from the FIRST DAY you saw blood(start bleeding/period) to the LAST DAY before you see blood (bleeding/period) AGAIN.
🟢Example_To_Illustrate:
If your period starts on the 9th of January and the one of February starts on the 4th of February.
If you count from 9th January to 3rd February, you will have 26days. So 26days is your menstrual cycle length.
If you count from 4th of February to 1st of March, you will get 26days, and since your cycle length is 26days, so the estimated date to see your March period is 2nd of March.
🟢Another_Example:
Let's say your period in January starts on the 15th January, and the one in February starts on the 14th February. If you count from 15th January to the last day before you see February period which is 13th February, you will get 30days. So your menstrual cycle is 30days. And the estimated date to see March period is 16th March (counting 30days from 14th February)
🟢Important_Note:
Put in mind that your menstrual length doesn't have to be exact the same length every month. Sometimes, it might be + OR - 1, 2 or even 3 days, but always count from the FIRST day of an existing period to the LAST DAY before you start bleeding again/see your next period.
Also you can use the most common length as your menstrual cycle.
For instance, if January is 26days cycle, February is 28days, March is 26days, April is 27days, May and June are 26days, etc.
It's obvious that you mostly see it every 26days, so 26 days is your menstrual cycle.
When you can accurately calculate your cycle length, then you will be able to know when you're in your fertile and non fertile window, and when you're likely to ovulate, etc.
