Hello guys I am glad to be participating in this 14th edition contest by @blurtconnect-ng after a long period of break.
In this contest, I will be showing us how to make Nigerian vegetable soup, as you can see in the below picture.
Before I get into my post proper, I would like to talk about the health benefits of vegetable soup.
Benefits Of Vegetable Soup:
- It's highly nutritious.
- Vegetable soup is rich in vitamin.
- It boost blood supplies in the body.
- It gives energy.
- It gives strength.
Ingredients For Making Vegetable Soup:
- Pumpkin leaf.
- Water leaf.
- Beef Meat.
- Smoked Fish.
- Crayfish.
- Red Oil.
- Knorr Seasoning.
- Pepper.
- Salt
Below are a screenshot of the ingredients for my soup.

Diced Water leaf
Diced Pumpkin leaf
Cooking Procedure:
Wash and dice your pumpkin and water leaf.
Wash your meat, season it and cook till it's soft and tasty.
Add the smoked fish to the meat on fire to cook along and allow to cook till meat and fish is well cooked.
Grind your crayfish and add to the cooked meat on fire.
Add pepper, salt and seasoning and allow to cook for 3 munits.

Add your red Oil and allow to cook for 5 munits.
Then add the water leaf to the cooking.
You are not supposed to add much water to the soup, the water used in cooking the meat is enough. This is because the water leaf will always produce its own water, so if you already added much water to your soup and then add the water leaf, the soup will be too watery. Much water is not good for vegetable soup.
- Add your pumpkin leaf and allow to cook for just 3 munits and food is ready.

And finally, my vegetable soup is ready for consumption.
