Medicinal plant Shvetdrona. The plant is known by different names in different parts of the country. In some areas it is known as 'Madhu Gach' or 'Kanshisa' and in others as 'Kanshika'. But the real name of this tree is 'Shvetdrona'.
The height of this tree is 1 to one and a half meters. In most cases a few trees grow together in a thicket. This tree can be seen throughout the year.Its ideal flowering time is March and May. Small green leaves. White flowers in the gap between the trees. Bumblebees flock to honeyed flowers. This tree born in the path and fallow land is swayed by the wind.

This small bushy plant is born naturally. Its white flowers taste sweet when taken in the mouth. Chewing the leaves will give a bitter taste in the mouth. In some areas it is also cooked as a vegetable. The small bushy plant is called 'Swetdrona' or 'Dandakalas'. Recently, the wandering of dandakals has been seen on both sides of various roads and in uncultivated land, including the nearby areas of Ward No. 3 of Rangpur city.

Batul Singh, a seedling producer of rare species of Kaizelia and former gardener of Carmichael College, said that the dandakals plant is decreasing day by day. Earlier, this tree was widely seen along roadsides, paths, fallow land and various crop gardens. It is becoming difficult to protect this plant.
Hazrat Ali, a farmer in Kakina area of Lalmonirhat, told BTC News that Dandakals grows in natural environment. It does not have to be cultivated or planted.

The honey of the flowers is sweet, so the bees are attracted to it. The children of the village took this flower of sweet greed in their mouth and tasted the sweetness.

Many of the new generation do not know about this tree. This plant is used as herbal medicine for various diseases including cold, cough, pain, skin diseases.
