Someone said to me today I'm a 'nice' person.
I thought, aww that's nice.
He knows I am a Yorkshire Lassie and we are well known for being very open. 'I say what I mean and I mean what I say' is a typical Yorkshire mantra and I live by it.
So when I saw this I had to grab it.
It pretty much sums up how things can get so fucked up in the world by playing on people's 'niceness'. The need to 'fit in'. Be accepted or even loved.
Cancel culture, PC'ness and generally being 'nice' is for losers (or maybe it's just city folk, who knows).
What is 'nice' actually? You might be surprised.
‘The word ‘NICE’ originally meant ‘foolish, ignorant, senseless’ from Latin meaning ‘not knowing.’ Over the past 700 years, the word has been inverted, changed from a negative meaning to a supposed ‘positive’ one of being pleasant.
People being nice and pleasant are easily controlled. They are not outspoken about injustice and through apathy they play their part in the mass social engineering of passivity in the face of fear.
Words are powerful. Word spells are everywhere and the words you choose and use, whether consciously or not, shape your reality and your impact.
If you see something that needs to be called out, call it. Be prepared to break the peace, shatter the illusions, expose the lies and most of all protect those that don’t have a voice and in doing so inspire others to find their own.
Ditch NICE and own being the authentic you.
Own the mission that you are here at this time to create and walk your own sacred path of remembering your power as a creator.’
And then there is also the language barrier-
Very nice post ! 🙃
Funny, I see what u did there ;-)
The Nazis also stole this symbol from Buddhism …
The FUD, disinformation and confusion of words and symbols has been going on forever. If you want to confuse and destroy a nation … you simply steal their words and symbols and use them for the opposite.
The swastika or swastik symbol, 卐 or 卍, is an ancient religious and cultural symbol, predominantly in various Eurasian, as well as some African and American cultures. It continues to be used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It generally takes the form of a cross, the arms of which are of equal length and perpendicular to the adjacent arms, each bent midway at a right angle
Yes true. I was with my friend at her brothers flat and we walked past a door with the Buddhist symbol on it and she said OMG my bro lives next to nazi's lol. I had to explain it to her.

Oh dear, there goes the NSFW rating.....................
Well said👍
I am not nice ,.. i am kind at times ,.. one of a , mostly , when i am .
Where in my mothers language "kind" means child .
In Norway i am now ,.. kind became snill ,..
and nice is just fin ,.. and in dutch we use fijn to express a positive experience .
Darn fine post , not nice ,.. but fine with/by me . ;-)
Interesting, I never spotted the 'kind' - child connection. Child in German is kind too. Thanx. Yes I think 'kind' is much different to 'nice'. We should all aspire to kindness of course.
Being nice is okay, but being too nice will leave a person treaded upon and consumed until nothing is left from them. So I learned not to give a rat's ass at certain situations which can save me from detrimental effects of being so nice.
That's where you've mixed up being 'nice' with something else maybe. I would say the meaning of the word is more the 'too nice' you speak of.
:D remember?

lol - you were one of two people responding to my "nice-article" ;-)
no sorry I don't remember, which nice post? I also just realised I'm not seeing ur posts, wonder why that is. I'll have to make a note to go visit ur profile.
I just gave you the link :) It was during hive-times.
Huh? That sounds more than strange. How can that even happen? Here, a screenshot of my last blog posts. You cannot see them?
I see them when I go to your profile but don't see them on my wall. I may just be missing them. You don't post often so I might just be missing them.
Sorry I also missed ur link before. It must be me. I saw it now, over a year ago so you are way ahead of everyone else hahaha. It was a great post. I should have included it in mine. Maybe someone found your post and decided to make a viral meme a year later? Thanx for reminding me.
I guess, you remembered our chat without remembering that it was with me at this certain time :D lol
I really like to dig language and look up word origins.
Also, keep in touch with Blurtconnect-ng family on Telegram and Whatsapp
