Use of henna leaves as a remedy.

Many people do not know about the use of henna leaves as a remedy. Usually, henna is used to decorate women and to dye men's hair and beards. But it has many medicinal properties. Ali Ibn Ubaidullah narrated from his grandmother Salma (RA) that she (Salma) used to serve Rasulullah (SAW).

He said, "When the body of Rasulullah (s.a.w.) was wounded by a sword or dagger, he used to order me to put henna on it." (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2054)
In another narration, "When the Prophet (PBUH) was injured or cut, he used to apply henna to the affected area." (Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3502)

Salma (R.A.) said, "When someone came to Rasulullah (SAW) with a complaint of headache, he used to say, 'Apply horn' and in case of foot pain, he would say, 'Apply juice of henna leaves.'" (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 3858)

Hafez Ibnul Qayyim (RA) wrote about the benefits of henna leaves in his book At-Tibbun Nabbi—1. Mehndi is very beneficial for burns.

Applying henna on boils and painful burns gives relief and peace. 7. Pneumonia and rib pain when massaged with henna flowers mixed with pure beeswax and rose oil. (At-Tibbun Nabbi, page 150)
